2nd time going here for supplies . 2nd time they didn’t have what I need. You hear “one stop shop for your home renovation projects” but I’ve already had to go to another store.

We recently completed a home renovation project to update our house. We purchased hardwood flooring to replace our carpeting and put in new baseboards and casings. We selected our flooring and casings from Kingston Cosmaroma. The fellow that showed us the flooring options was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We placed our order and we’re told in advance that the flooring may be delayed due to COVID issues etc supply chain etc. we ordered anyway. There was some additional delay beyond what we anticipated as the manufacturer put our order on hold. After some additional communication between myself and the good folks at Cosmaroma, our order was back on track to manufactured. A small additional delay occurred when shipping hiccups occurred. Eventually the flooring arrived. The management team at Cosmaroma gave me free delivery to my house and a discounted price on some additional products we needed. At a later date we were in the store and another manager talked about our experience and the delays and much to our surprise gave us further product that was way beyond our expectations to offset any disappointment we may have had for the wait on our flooring.
Bottom line is we got fantastic product at a reasonable price. We were assisted by people who cared about the customer and providing top notch after care.
Our Reno looks fantastic and I would definitely deal with Cosmaroma again and highly recommend them to friends and family.

Title: Cancellation fee ($1,124.35)

Our contractor ordered flooring from Cosmaroma for our basement renovations. The very next day, we cancelled the order as we had decided to go with different flooring. Cosmaroma said their supplier (NAF flooring) withheld 30% of the order price as a restocking fee. Cosmaroma absorbed 10% of the restocking fee cost, and refunded our contractor 80% of the cost. This meant we still had to pay a 20% restocking fee that amounted to $1,124.35. We thought this was unfair as we were not aware of their cancellation/ return policies beforehand, and we felt the charge was unreasonable since the flooring likely never even left their warehouse. We asked Cosmaroma to provide us with the phone number of the supplier (NAF flooring), but they said it’s against their policy to do so. I am not rating them 1 star since they absorbed 10% of the cancellation cost, but I am not satisfied with paying such an astronomical cancellation fee. Again, the cancellation policy was never relayed to us prior to purchase, and we paid $1,124.35 for absolutely zero product. They were unable to remedy the situation further upon speaking to the manager

Prices good. Very poorly constructed interior closet doors.( I wish I could post a
picture). Doors don't come together even.
We have to reconstruct the whole system again.
No communication. We were getting doors delivered and weren't told they had a truck problem after taking time off from work to be home. Two weeks later we got the doors.

Buy for supplies,No! to workmanship.

Over the past two weeks I have made several purchases. I was offered a vinyl floor product that had to be ordered but when I went to purchase it I was offered the same design at a lower price that was in stock. Pine trim and boards were cut to a size to fit in the car. A real pleasure to feel like a customer again. As a comparative shopper the prices are much better than the box stores. Congratulation Cosmaroma for your friendly helpful staff!
