I had a great evening painting with my 8y/o. The venue is clean and well organized. Items do seem a bit expensive but when you consider sitting there for 2 hours working on your project, visiting with your table mates and then cooking up your project it's worth it.
I preferred the location in fish creek simply because there are snacks and a Coca-Cola fridge of options. We are there for a long time!
Staff was lovely and engaged my daughter my she felt special and made for a great mommy daughter date.

This place gets expensive fast, but it's a lot of fun to custom paint your own pottery. Theres also a large selection of items to paint in a variety of sizes and price ranges. Great for a birthday party or unique date night.

If i could rate less i would. Booked a party and gave 100 deposit. Cancelled more then 30 days out and found out the policy was no refund on deposit. Would have been fine if they would have told me when booking. Very unreasonable. Very disappointing.

Spring Break is here, but it’s still -10 outside and snowy in Calgary. The kids are antsy to get out of the house so off to Color Me Mine we go for an afternoon of pottery painting fun!

I’ve painted at other pottery places before, but this is my first time at Color Me Mine. I was impressed by the great selection of pottery pieces available and there was so much to choose from that the kids were picking a piece, changing their mind, and then changing it again! They even had licensed character pottery pieces like Snoopy, Peanuts, Hello Kitty, and Monsters Inc! We finally settled on a fairy riding a unicorn piece (Can it get any more girly than that?) and my daughter had so much fun picking out paint colours.

The staff working at the Color Me Mine Kensington location was a huge help explaining how to get the most vibrant colour from the paint, how long the whole process takes, and she was came around to change the water frequently. She even showed my daughter the kiln and explained how the whole process worked to fire the pottery.
We had a great afternoon and I can’t wait to see the finished result!
