I'm disappointed by the significant price difference between Calgary Co-op grocery and its competitors. It's astonishing to see the exact same items priced 20 to 30 percent lower just across the street. Considering the higher prices at Calgary Co-op, one would expect exceptional service in return. However, they consistently have only one till open, forcing everyone to use self-checkout. On the other hand, No Frills, with its smaller profit margins, manages to have two or three tills open at all times. With the higher prices at Calgary Co-op, it's reasonable to anticipate a substantial patronage cheque on grocery purchases. However, they only offer a mere 2 percent, leaving us wondering what happened to the remaining 28 percent they overcharge. Unfortunately, I have to give Calgary Co-op a big thumbs down.
Been waiting in the line for a car wash, after waiting for 45 minutes and half way through the line, saw that only one of the 2 washing bays is working. The staff should put a sign up, so that people know the wait is going to be long and may come at another time.
It's a good place to pick up quick stuff, but isn't a huge store so it doesn't have the variety of the bigger Co-op stores.
Great service from pharmacy Logan went out of his way to help me find the right medicines for my family. He didn't rush me came from behind the counter showed me where to look and what may help. He also prescribed something to help me. So happy and grateful for his kindness.
Such a good selection here! Found reasonably sized briskets, didn’t go here for that but certainly left with one.
Great produce, meat and cheese selection. I am impressed for a chain grocery store
We dropped in for a free flu shot..big mistake. .there were forms to fill out at the entrance. .which was fine..but then we went to the pharmacy area..chaos. ..no numbersno lines ..No one to take the forms..people milling about.we leftcrossed the street to shoppers drug martquick professional and done
Really Bad service. I bought meal from "ready to eat". There's a tag on a red pepper. I asked the clerk whether they cleaned the pepper or not, he was quite rude and told me the tag is clean. I can't imagine if they don't clean the cook materials or tools. I live nearby and i would never buy their food. This store is not recommended.
Update: I was looking for the manager in charge after conversation with the "ready to eat" chef and the manager wasn't there that time, I got a call from customer service one week later and the customer service clerk asked me what the "ready to eat" chef look like, management level would have a conversion with hime and they would avoid this rude situation to other customers next time and CO-OP refunded my meal payment.
We bought a ready to eat meal here. There was a big tag on a roasted sweet pepper. It was nasty. We went to their staff and they told us their food is very clean, it's okay they just missed one tag on the pepper. So dispointing as we went to this store all the time. Their service was totally awful!
Very good cheese selection and delivery. Salad bar. Great selection of world foods. Nice produce section. Humanely raised meat and dairy products available.
The one time I went in with my mother who was a shopper there for over 30 year we where met with moldy produces, empty shelfs and it does always reflect the staff I have seen the stuggels the staff has with it limited crew of three to four for the entire store and it's really sad
When we where leaving with a new found disappointment for the store we had a horrible time when going through the very rude cashier her name is Cheree she extremely rude and one of the laziest employee coop has at #25 she complained to us that she had to move to grab items on the belt becaue she didn't want to have to move.
It's extremely pathetic that she still working there
Oh and on a side note when the cashier's reak of old cigarette smoke you really don't want them touching your food it's unsanitary and unpleasant
But I think we all know how coop works it will never change but if that's they way they will be fine I think the customers deserve to know
Good selection but Produce is sometimes not as fresh as other places.
Good local and fresh produce. Prices are getting competitive as well.
My local grocery store, so I might be biased. It's small, and feels more like a corner store. Staff are always very helpful (and usually joking around with each other, which is nice to see). Store is clean, and items are well stocked. Easy to find everything. I don't like where the bread is, but not a big deal.
They are more expensive than most grocery stores but they offer a lot more in the hot food kitchen area, cheese bar and customer service. The kitchen always has a great selection of hot food ready to go throughout the day.
They have a good selection of quality meat and vegetables. I only wish they offered more organic products throughout the store.
