I wouldn't recommend clera to someone I hate!
We used Jerry in brockville and are still dealing with them 3 years later.
All window need fixing or replacing still from a combination of installation errors and low quality windows.
We have had 2 different crews here and owner of company still not done right.
The third crew that was supposed to fix late April early may has quit. So now I'm exactly were I was 7 months ago. I cant use my front door! But now I have mold due to water leaking because of poor installation three times.
Now the 4th crew hasn't bothered to contact me in time frame I was given .
My windows would freeze shut in the winter due to channel for draining not manufacture correctly. Their first solution was to drill it out! He drilled right through the window frame as a solution.
Also was little to no seal around windows so lots of bugs and poor heating and cooling for 3 years due to improper installation.

This company's biggest shortcoming is their lack of accountability to fix issues when things go wrong. You'll notice in a lot of their responses to bad reviews here or homestars), they offer hollow assurances to take issues offline or they finger-point and call out users for "fake reviews" - not a whole lot of integrity in that, is there? In 2017, we had a new storm door installed and 3 basement windows replaced and we were very happy with our experience. However in March of 2021, the storm door pump bracket ripped out of the door frame. When we called Clera to see if it would be covered under warranty, we were told that the issue was due to water damage to the frame and they would not cover the cost of the repair. Clera agreed that there was water damage in our door frame that could only have existed prior to the storm door install. This shouldn't be left up to the homeowners to determine - we are NOT professionals in this trade. At one point, they tried to imply that maybe the water damage occurred after install, but they quickly retracted that theory when we suggested that it meant the storm door was of poor quality if it didn't protect our door frame from water damage. Our front door never had a storm door or awning to protect it from the elements. If the installer didn't consider this to be a potential issue for our wood door frame, it tells me that Clera willingly works with negligent installers who do sub-par work. While we felt that we shouldn't be responsible for the repair bill, we were willing to accept a fair compromise at $100 for the repair, to which they refused.
Our experience tells the story of a company with a lack of integrity who operates on unethical practices. If you are like us, you will want to give money to companies who stand by their work and make things right when they go wrong. We've worked with other companies on home renovation projects and paid extra money at the advice of the professionals to ensure things were done properly. And when things went wrong, these companies came back to fix the issues. Unfortunately, Clera is not that company. Proceed with extreme caution!
Soon after posting a negative review on Homestars, Clera agreed to fix the screen door at a discounted rate, if we agreed to take an earlier review down. They were willing to go as low as $100 to send someone for the repair. We agreed to pay the $100 dollars in advance and were told we would be contacted by the installer directly. After quite a bit of chasing, an installer finally contacted us three months later to schedule the repair.
When the installer arrived, he made no effort to contact us. Instead, he quickly did his work and left. A wooden block was screwed over the existing frame. To make matters worse, the door only opens half-way. I contacted Clera who confirmed they considered the door fixed, knowing that the door was not functioning. I essentially spent $100 to wait 3 months for a few screws, a wooden block, and a “fix” that now prevents my door from opening properly. We continued to go back-and-forth with Clera. The installer pointed out that the door was not installed properly, but wouldn’t believe that the error was made by Clera. The installer accused me of tampering with the door. This further validates what we’ve been trying to get through to Clera - The storm door was not properly installed.
We got our $100 refunded, but the time we spent arguing and chasing these people, we’ll never get back. Terrible experience.

We had all of the windows in our house replaced by Clera Windows and Doors. The new windows look beautiful, are easy to remove the screens and easy to clean the casement windows from inside, which is really convenient on the second floor. We are happy with the look and operation of the windows. We have noticed that we hear less road noise and have eliminated the draft we felt from our old windows. Kevin was very professional and quick to respond throughout the process and we felt that he was selling us something that he believed in. Juri was our installer. He and his helper were very polite and respectful, they protected our floors, cleaned up after themselves and left us with a beautiful finished product.

Clera just installed new windows and doors for my entire house, meeting all my requirements for privacy style and design. The sale person I dealt with (Michael) also suggested a wider front door from the standard size, which I am very happy with, since it will provide easier access. Due to the number of windows and doors, the installation went smoothly and was completed in 2 days, although 3 days were planned. The crew were polite and professional. I am pleased with the products and highly recommend them.

We just had our front door replaced and couldn't be happier! From the start of the process, Terry was there to help and guide us. Terry was very professional and was always available to answer our (many) questions. Terry sent us updates right up until installation! The installer, Paul, was very knowledgable, professional and he left the job site very clean. We were very impressed with our entire Clera experience. Would highly recommend!

They replaced and installed 4 windows for us. Once we were able to arrange an installation date, I was amazed at how quickly they installed the windows. There was really no prep work for me, they worked around beds and dressers and kept the existing framing in place - in and out in a few hours. This was a great experience, highly recommended.

We want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for our sales representative, James Steers, and our installer David for their amazing work on our custom front door!
After experiencing some issues with a gap forming due to our house settling, James came to visit our home and priced numerous options, including a customized 8 foot front door that we didn't even think of as a potential purchase. Our new door has completely transformed the look of our home! The quality of the door and the tri point locking system far exceeded our expectations and we have received many compliments from our neighbours in the short time since it was installed. We felt very supported in our decision as James was willing to answer questions and make suggestions in a timely manner providing us with his professional opinion at all times. His experience helped us to make decisions best for our home and consider factors that we wouldn't have thought of on our own! He stopped by on installation day to check in with us and has since been in contact to ensure our satisfaction with the finished project.
David, who spent the day installing the door, was extremely friendly, kind and respectful of our space. He answered questions that we had and took additional time to explain what was being done both throughout and after completing the project.
As first time homeowners, this was a purchase we were unfamiliar with and we are now feeling confident in having James assist us in purchasing new windows for our home and having David come by to install them as we continue to make improvements. We were going to play it safe with our window replacement and stick with the beige colour from the builder for the new windows. Our sales rep Mike had the beige and black sample with him and he took the time to let us see in sunlight what the colours would look like up against our brick. We ended up going for bolder black and we could not be happier with the outcome. Thank you Clera for caring about our home! We are now the talk of the neighbourhood :)

I have used Clera over the past 20 years for the window and door needs. This most recent purchase was the biggest door system I've purchased so far. They always come through with a fantastic system that is just flat out beautiful. Take the time to connect with your sales rep like we did. Mike listened to what we liked and didn't like and helped create something unique for our home. I wouldn't look anywhere else for a high quality door!

From start to finish a great experience! Great communication from sales person to the installation crew! Very competitive pricing but more importantly the product was superior to the other two quotes we got. We already see the temperature holding much better in our home and less noise from outside. Any easy 5 star rating!
