  Chicken Chef was very well priced with above average portions. We had the 3 piece Chicken dinner special. Cost was $9 and included 3 pieces of chicken, two sides, a dinner roll and a beverage. We also had the $12 Salisbury steak meal, which might be the best value around. Portion sizing is pretty much for two people and it comes with a heap of fries and 'slaw. According to the menu, they also serve pizza as well as hamburgers etc. Will hopefully try those items next time we're in
  Service is average, but not so much that it's detrimental to the dining experience. The restaurant has wifi and is located very close to the Trans-Canada hwy and Portage Ave cloverleaf.

  ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and PROMPT Service. VERY POLITE staff, and prompt and Efficient during a Weekend Dinner Rush . Great Prices and Great Deals. Had a Huge party and we were seated quickly and had our food Hot and ready within Minutes. VERY Happy with with my experience at Chicken Chef

  We went for supper this evening and got the special 3 piece with 2 sides .After going here for over 30 years I couldn't believe my ears .I wanted to try fries instead of mashed potatoes and I was told I had to pay extra for the gravy. The gravy is only included with mash potatoes and not fries. I never heard of anything so rediculous in my life .A potatoes is a potatoes people. Just a principle thing with me . This is so rediculous. Charged me $1.70 more for my dinner NO LONGER A SPECIAL ! I think I will move on to a more reasonable restaurant .

  Waitress was uniformative and wouldn't tell us the sides until we decided what we were having. Food thrown on the floor but not cleaned up by dishwasher and employees. Watched a waiter drop a spoon on the ground, look at it, and walk away. Table in the front of the restaurant within customer tables is loaded with jackets and dirty drinks and milkshake cups which I am assuming belongs to the staff. Very frustrating if you come from a restaurant background.

  It's comfortable and has a feeling of being home.. food is good. Potatoes mashed are fantastic dill herbs in them

  Best Chicken Chef I have tried!! Wish i could give them more stars. Food is alwsys fresh, service is always great, fantastic owner.
