Great campsite. Spacious sites and VERY reasonable price. Management seems good too. Tends to be used by 4x4/dirtbike folks in the summer and them RV camping fishing types in the fall. Worth a stop if you aren't in the mood to hit the camps further up the road.
Site woman has got anger issues. After a morning of fishing we were walking back 20 minutes past checkout time and she yelled and threated my young brother who was waiting for us back at camp. It was a rainy day with many spots still open.
What a beautiful area. Camp sites were low cost (at least when I visited, which yes was off season). Huge trees, ferns, moss, the river - just beautiful. I definitely need to return here and explore more.
Great place to camp. Site attendant can be difficult if you're not easy going But she's been really great with me always and the sites are big, beautiful, well kept, and the pit toilets are almost always very clean so I appreciate that. At this location you pay by the vehicle, so bring as many people as you can in as few vehicles as possible that's your cheapest option.
Only drawbacks are no services, not even water, no garbage disposal, strictly carry in/carry out so that can attract wildlife if you are there for more than a few nights. (seems like a minor rodent problem at our site this year)
That said, this is a great place to camp especially for those with trailers or motorhomes and tents as well. Most sites can take at least one good sized trailer and tow vehicle plus a tent or two as well.
I've always been very happy camping at Chehalis River Campground
We had a great weekend here. The campgrounds are clean and well maintained, outhouses are clean and people followed the quiet hour rules. We will be back for sure. The sites are large with room for a few vehicles and the walking trail was pretty.
If you like having the camp manager down your throat for everything like it's army training then go here. She really ruined this place for my family and I.
Beautiful, well kept campsite, right beside the river, lots of walking and hiking options
Great place of you enjoy being woken up by drunks at the next campsite screaming in the middle of the night. Or enjoy the scenery of numerous freshly cut down large trees.
Great camp ground in a beautiful forrest. Went a couple times in 2016 and look forward to camping 2017. FYI Sites are not all the same size. Few are pretty big and some tiny ones. No hook ups or water taps. Either way I recommend.
Small site but well situated for fishing the river. Super busy in the off season also. Loud at night with the partiers we had on site with us but the young warden did his best to control them. No hook ups, plain old family camping. Not suitable for big rigs. No rig bigger than 35ft.
