I've had dinner here a few time. Great food. Family atmosphere cause its family run! We sat with the own and chatted. She suggested dishes according to our taste and hit it bang on! Not to mention my son got a tour of the kitchen. If a 6 year old wants to go back to a restaurant, you give to give it 5 stars. Nice people all around. We also had a family function there. Everything was perfect. Everyone was happy!

The food they serve is over priced for the quality. The owner Maria served us and she rushed us to make our decisions made us very uncomfortable. She wouldnt take the time to listen or explain whats on the menu. Very poor service and the food is sub standard for what they are charging customers. BETTER STAY AWAY. And go somewhere your business is appreciated.

Authentic Italian food! Tastes great. Very nice atmosphere and great service. The owner is also very nice. Definitely looking forward to going back for more.

My mother and I attended both their Easter brunch and Mother's Day brunch, and found the food and the service outstanding.
It was an abundant, all-you-can-eat buffet format. All of the food was house made. At Easter there was an abundance of lamb (bought for that day) made in the traditional Italian style, the whole lamb cut into pieces and oven roasted, not the rack of lamb on their main menu. There was also grilled chicken breast, and veal cutlets, and Italian sausage - three different kinds of pasta - plenty of veggies & much more.response / report this review -

It's true what they say.You only write reviews when you have a bad experience, This is mine. Mother's Day Sunday brunch. I was with a group of people to celebrate their Mother's day. I have been to Castello before, and will have to say this is my last time. Brunch was a buffet, terribly organized, we waited in line for at least 45min for the appetizer's, then again for the main course. We had a two hour window to get our food, sit down and inhale it. The waitress that we had was so slow in getting our drinks, that's all she had to do, as it was a buffet. When the bill finally came for my wife and I we noticed there was a 13% tip charge added to our bill, FOR WHAT? When I asked about this, they told me it was common practice to charge this, and I was luck it wasn't 15%. I complained about this stating I always tip minimum of 15%, when I am served, not at a buffet. They did nothing to accommodate me and just ignored me as they were assisting other customers. Some people at my table didn't even see the tip charge and added a small tip on top. Shame on Castello. NEVER AGAIN

Our first time at this restaurant (group of 19). The food selection was poor and the lineup to get to the food (half way through the sitting) was still about 10 minutes. Unfortunately only a few of the dishes were decent quality (in my opinion and the bulk of our group of course). In addition, there were way too many people for the space and setting. This restaurant is not set up properly for a buffet. The cost was well in excess of what this type of meal/service should have been.

I attended this restaurant with my family for Easter Brunch and cannot begin to voice my disappointment. There were lack of servers and when my mother attempted to serve herself the server at the pasta station started getting mad at my mother for serving herself in Italian. We are not Italian and I tried to explain that we did not want to hold the huge lineup. There were never any plates at any of the stations
The lamb which was empty most of the time was dry and full of bones. The dessert table lacked utensils and no plates of course and was very disappointing in terms of selection. They seem very unorganized and could not keep up with the amount of people trying to have brunch.Finally when we got ready to pay for our bill they claimed their system was down and we had to wait 30 minutes to get our bill. I will never come back to this place and would not recommend anyone to eat here. It would be a waste of your money.response / report this review -

Very disappointed, My family and I came to this restaurant this past sunday for Easter lunch and this restaurant was extremely unorganized and the food was horrible, pasta was over cooked, lamb was mostly bone and extremely dry. Servers kept leaving their stations and left customers to serve themselves. A lady yelled at my 78 year old grandmother for picking up the tong to serve herself when there wasn't anyone there to help her. I was very disgusted with this restaurant when this happened. The dessert station was the most disappointing, there weren't any utensils to pick up the food nor any plates. Service was also very slow as well, on top of it all we were charged gratuity when it was buffet considering that this restaurant is located in the heart of Woodbridge we expected it to be at least decent, but it was far from it. I will never go back to this restaurant.

Was at Easter brunch and for starters food was terrible and the worst part was they advertise 29 dollars for kids 43 dollars for adults which didn't include pop so basically by the time you add the pop charges your at 50 dollars a person what a scam who dosnt serve pop with there food it shouldn't be extra!!! Plus had to pay gratuity , for what got up to get my own food and waited in line it wasn't sit down service I will never go back!!!

Service was terrible! Took over and hour to receive our food. The server apologize saying they were busy tonight. ONLY 4 TABLES OF CUSTOMERS IN THE WHOLE RESTURANT! THEY WERE NOT BUSY! We did not receive water until we requested it multiple times. Half our food was over cooked and the other half was undercooked and cold! I would not recommend this place to anyone!
If you're looking for good Italian food (good food in general), do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.response / report this review
