Been going here for years. The food is great. Fast and consistent service. Crunchy noodle soup (house soup) and their Dynamite rolls are my favourite!
Everything is good but they don't have house crunch miso soup anymore . Sushi & sashimi combo was good but the tuna wasn't the freshest in our combo
Used to be great but looks like they changed management and cooks. The sushi was very disappointing. Dry rice, tiny pieces, fish not very fresh for the rolls we got. Miss the old Tomo. 3 stars even too much if the current state continues.
Love this place. I go here so often. Always get the white dragon roll and rainbow roll. So yummy! Compared to many other sushi places I've visited over the years, this is definitely in my top three! Sushi is fresh and the atmosphere is always alive :)
Service is poor. We got our soup and salad quickly but waiting at least 10-15mins before our main course. I ordered 6pcs of Sushi with my dinner and that did not come until after I finished my main course. I ordered a second drink and that never came. During the entire duration of the dinner we never had a server follow up with us on the satisfaction of our meal. Getting their attention when they walk by is almost impossible, they don't actively look at each booth to see if a patron needs their help. I may be in a corner booth but that should not negate providing us proper and efficient service.
The food is good but not enough to come back and experience this poorly run restaurant.
Best sushi in Richmond Hill! The freshness of the fish is miles above other restaurants in the area, and it's obvious that a great deal of care was put into each dish. I highly recommend the chirashi (both regular and deluxe).
Wet good food, great service! They have some understanding for gluten free options and are able to accommodate. A little more on the pricy side, however they have a large selection and options which aren't always available at regular sushi restaurants.
Absolutely love this place. It's the best sushi I've ever had and I'm a sushi enthusiast (have had sushi at over 100 different restaurants across various cities in North America, Europe, south / central America, and Asia).
5/5 sushi, 5/5 service. The costs are above average, but that's to be expected when the quality is this damn good.
Very friendly and attentive service. We went on Mother's Day, and they gave all of the mothers a red rose. The food was fairly priced, and delicious. Great rice to fish ratio, and the rolls were the perfect size.
Be sure to make a reservation if you go during peak times or with a large group.
Been dinning here since 2007 and the quality and atmoshpere have been outstanding. Large portions, amazing taste, and a relaxing tone. Love it at Tomo Sushi.
I've been here multiple times and I don't recall any bad food. I love this place it's good for lunch and dinner. If I had to complain I would have to say the terriaki food is a bit flavorless, but I've only had the terriaki once and I still liked it.
Good quality. Good service. I enjoy the lunch special but the dinner menu a bit too pricy.
My first time going it was perfectly fine, I didn't have a stomach ache or anything. Nor do I usually have a weak stomach, however the many times after wards myself and my friend (who are sushi lovers) have gotten sick from this place on multiple occasions. Never going back here again. The only reason why I gave it the many chances was because my friend insisted.
Compared to a couple months ago Tomo Sushi has drastically improved in both service and their food, especially their sushi. I didn't expect much, but they exceeded my expectations. I strongly recommend trying their sushi lunch A if you haven't yet
