It was a fairly easy hike and took us less than 4 hours to summit. The last 500 meters are a scramble which could have been better marked. In order to reach the summit, keep climbing until there’s nowhere left to climb!
One of the best hikes in the North Shore! it was tough trekking up and it got steep at the top but the views made it worth every step of the way. Consider good hiking boots and lots of water! It took us 6.15hrs return trip (about 15 minutes at the top).
Steep mountain beside the Sea to Sky highway
Hiked this in July 2017. All the snow was gone. Some patches remained above 1400m and that's where the bugs were non-stop bugs from 1400m to the summit at 1770m. Bring a hat with a net to keep them out of your eyes, nose, mouth, ears and hair. Overall the view is stunning. Totally worth it.
Fantastic spot but not easy to get to. Long hard climb up from Porteau Road off Sea to Sky Highway (6+ hours 1 way). Be well prepared for back country travel if you are going this far.
I like it there.
