The course is in very good shape overall. The marshalling staff are excellent.

Beware of buying gift certificates from them. You'll be lead to believe you can use them for anything, only to be told they are just good for merchandise in the pro shop.

The prices are great the course is in not bad shape but there is no Marshall so rounds take 5 plus hours absolutely ridiculous

Great, affordable course that is great to walk. Mosquitoes can be a problem in the summer due to the amount of standing water around but overall, my wife and I really like the course. It's more affordable than a lot of courses in the area as well.

Great value - For the price you pay, this course is fantastic. I play all over in/around Calgary and I'm glad I made the stop here. The greens at Boulder Creek were in great shape. (I find it really funny that one of the reviewers on here said they were too fast!) The tee boxes were also well kept - 4 sets of tees. The sand was not as hard as the other reviewers were saying. It's certainly not fluffy white sand but I played out of it twice and found it very similar to other Albertan courses. There are not a a lot of trees on the course but the water hazards make things interesting. If you get a decent line on errant shots you won't lose balls (barring they don't go in the water!) The marshals made a couple passes so everyone was up-to-speed. I highly doubt you would ever see a 5 hour round on this course.
I had a burger & fries before the round which was also fantastic and fairly priced. I didn't see too many washrooms or any water fountains/jugs on the course so I would plan to freshen up at the club house. They had some pitchers of ice water inside with glasses to beat the heat.
I will be making a yearly trip out to Boulder Creek at the very least. I'm really impressed by the price/quality of this course. ~6 HDCPresponse / report this review -

One star!
Green were hard and extremely fast, uncontrollable.
Bunkers were as hard as concrete with a layer of dust, didn't have to rake my footprints, only the club divots!
Very windy. Beverage cart never showed on the back nine on a hot 27*c day.

Not a great golfing experience. First, let me start off with the good. The course is close to Calgary, just down 22X, and is in a great location. And although most of the trees are not mature, the course uses speargrass to create additional hazards, which makes aiming harder.
Even with that, it was the worst experience I've ever had at a golf course. I am not sure if there are laws in place prohibiting spraying for mosquitoes, or if the course owners decided to opt out of that service, but the mosquitoes were the worst I have ever seen. I must have sprayed with bug spray 6 times over my round, and yet still was bombarded for my whole round with 20-30 bugs the entire time.
The sand traps were in horrible shape. They were hard as a rock, had large ruts in them, and had about 1 inch of sand cover above what appeared to be a hard mud.
And lastly, they had a tournament kicking off in the afternoon after we were playing. We were harassed by 3 different marshalls to, "speed up play, or we wouldn't be able to finish our round." Which is fine if we were slow playing, but we finished our round in 4 hours 15 minutes, which is completely reasonable.response / report this review -

The course is overall in OK shape, the biggest problem with this place is the on course workers. Every single time I have played, someone is driving behind you triming the fairways, or on the green. I don't get it, they do this all day long yet the course looks okwith the amount of work they do, you would think this course would be pristine! Either way its annoying, numerous times I have had a group of workers just stand there an wait for me to shoot at themno pressure right. My last visit there one of the fellows triming the fairways actually argued with me, told me I should never hit a shot if they are out therereally? Every course I go to the paying customer has preference, in this place sit back and wait for the guy to cut the grass, then when he is clear, long gonethen you are allowed to shoot. Despite my criticism, I usually golf here 5-6 times per season, overall its okjust eliminate the damn annoying workers during prime time.
