The staff are a bunch of wholesome people a good understanding of their clientele. They seem to have a lot of patience even when it's busy.
Customer service dealing with Nikon was efficient and thorough. We had all the plan and upgrade options explained in great detail and the process was painless.
Called them 5 times, never picked up. Worst Customer Service EVER!
And when they picked up, this chick picks up and I asked if there was a specific item on sale in which she rudely replies, "WELL did you check the website?", and I said "No that's why I'm effing calling you." "And she says, "Well MAYBE you should check that first then." and to which I reply "Excuse me, may I have your name?" and then she hangs up on me.
???
Greg, the manager was, however, very good at nullifying the situation. He went above and beyond to make the situation better, so I appreciate his efforts. However, the 1 star still goes to the chick who doesn't know how to properly talk to someone on the phone.
Also, Eugene had exceptional customer service (not by Best Buy standards but in general), so I would like him to receive some recognition for his excellence. If you had more people like him, I would gladly pay the extra distributor fee that these retail stores deal with rather than just buying the same item on Amazon for 10-20% cheaper.
Istan(?sp), Ravi, and Rylie made our night! Absolutely amazing staff, funny enough we where just complaining the other day about how we kept getting ignored at this location and how much we hated going to Best Buy.
Good job night staff of August 21st 2017
Way to chabge things around
The selection of items here is great. You can almost find anything you're looking for. The service here isn't great. Despite there being plenty of employees, they're extremely difficult to find when you need assistance.
Do not even bother this place to buy. Worst customer service ever. Especially summer time, their staffs need to be trained more to take care customers. Their mind set is if you need buy one you buy if dont like dont even bother us. WE DONT CARE.No wonder they are called "WorstBuy".
Horrible Horrible customer service. managers need to be fired or general manager needs to learn how to train his managers to teach his/her workers what customer service is no help even though there are plenty of workers only problem is they spend more time chatting with each other rather than helping, cause there are so damn many of them! When you manage to flag one down. They have no bloody clue what they are talking about God damn train your employees on basic knowledge of the product at least.
Bought a monitor from them by first getting the resident staffer to take me through the item. The monitor was on a stand that swivelled and we spent a great deal of time talking about it and the vertical feature.
I bought the monitor, brought it home, only to find the monitor does not have that stand and instead comes with a static unmodifiable stand.
Not only was this false demonstration, but the staffer did not inform me that the products were separate.
But now the monitor is facing other technical issues and I cannot get ahold of anybody. Called 12 times in a row to nothing but a voicemail
Not impressed on every count.
Bestbuy on deathbed? Absolutely. Sales staff have little to no knowledge on their products and provide half-arse explanations when prompted. If you stop by and ask questions regarding product availability, they tell you to check online rather than visiting the store (however if you check online, often times this type of information is not even available). Non commission sales staff appear to have little to no motivation in promoting or marketing products, instead they're busy texting on their phone. Don't waste your time visiting this location.
Just spent the last 2.5 hours calling into the store. After the voice prompts, the phone just rings and rings. This was on weekday in the morning, when staff would not be overly busy. Clearly no customer service. I will go elsewhere and pay more if i get good service. Today's business model offers less and less customer service.
Good luck trying to get this store to pick up their phone! Called over half a dozen times over different days. Each call rang for about 5 minutes, and then dropped.
Disheartening experience at a Best Buy Experience 2.0 store. Would not shop here. Why put all the resources to modernize this particular store if staff are poorly trained to handle phone calls? Just needed two minutes to speak with a supervisor/senior at Connected Solutions
Went through the store to drop off some used batteries for recycling. I was instructed by the front door greeter to see a sales rep who could help me. I asked a sales rep who said I had to drop it off at the Customer Service desk which was completely full with a line up and I wasn't about to wait in line just to drop off used batteries! I went back to the front door greeter and asked if I could just leave the batteries with her, but she said "Sorry!" and she could not help me.
I walked out pretty angry for wasting my time while doing my part in saving the environment and not really getting much assistance from the Best Buy staff. Luckily I went to London Drugs which had a very accessible drop off bin right next to the battery aisle and that's all I needed to get the job done. I don't understand why this Best Buy can't do the same?!
Scanning the reviews I can see that Customer Service is definitely not a strong point at this Coquitlam Center Best Buy. I wonder if they ever bother to check these reviews, because some of these workers could use a serious attitude adjustment, otherwise we as customers can come in and really give them a taste of their own medicine.
Of note, at first I tried to file a complaint through their website contact services, but trying to do that is a whole other pain in the ass issue in itself, so I'll just leave it at that
