Went in there with my son last weekend to purchase a guitar case for his new Les Paul.
Hanging on the wall there's a Alvarez acoustic.
I took it down a strummed a few chords.
Couldn't believe how smooth the action was.
I've been looking for a guitar like this for years.
I have Bi-Lateral C.T.S. (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome)
and have issues playing acoustic guitars even after the operations.
My son told me (Dad the guitar picked you, you don't pick the guitar).
He couldn't be more correct.
The action, tone and playability on this gem is incredible.
No finger or hand fatigue whatsoever.
Here's the amazing part.
I've tried guitars in the 5k range and I gotta be honest, they were not that much better.
For 450.00$ (all in with taxes) I brought her her home.
Tried some "Blue Rodeo, Pink Floyd and Marshall Tucker Band" songs on it.
The type of music where you don't want overtones or twang.
Passed the test with flying colours.
Gibson and Martin best stay on top of their game as this company (Alveraz) has really got it together when it comes to quality versus price.
An old friend (Steve Clark) sold me a Alveraz acoustic bass for my son last year with a Fishman system in it.
Again incredible tone and action, playability.
This ones a keeper for life.
I couldn't be more pleased and the price,,,,crazy.
That's the honest truth, my filters broken at my age. If it were crap, I'd be all over that.
I recomend any one looking for an entry level or even a stage guitar to try this sweetheart out.

My wife and I checked out Backstage Music today and we were impressed. Quite the nice selection of acoustic and electric guitars and even Ukeles. Nice people working there as well. When our Rory is feeling better we are sure to bring him to check it out!

Steve is very knowledgeable and helpful. Very clean and well put together store in the heart of the entertainment district with a great selection! He's done his research to bring some new brand names to Thunder Bay.
