We were here about 6 months back to have our puppy fixed as we had a bad experience with a local vet here in Calgary; the procedure went perfectly no complaints there; it was when my girlfriend had asked the Dr about conditioner for his skin as he had begun to start scratching earlier that week (seasons change him being a westie are prone to skin problems). The Dr recommended some different food, fine we went ahead and tried that; The DR had also recommended we look into pet insurance as if it was a skin condition it would likely be expensive for the rest of his life. She had told us it may be worth it to invest in and told us that she would leave the fact that he had begun itching off the paper work to allow us to get him insurance. Well she flat out lied to us. We went ahead and added the insurance as a precaution and in the coming months his skin got worse as the grass started coming out. We then took him in to get looked at again and when we went to run the insurance it had come back denying coverage for his skin because it was on file that he had slightly irritated skin when we got him fixed. I have no problem paying full price for his medication as we don't have a choice anymore but I do have a problem with people saying one thing and doing another. I would not recommend coming here.

I live in Calgary and I am more than happy to drive out to Okotoks to bring my two girls to see the vets at Animal Care Centre. The staff are always friendly and kind and I love the attention they pay to my two cats. The vets always listen and recommend what is needed and nothing more. I feel like they truly care. I love that even the vet will sometimes call for checkups on how their doing after an appointment. The vet techs are always fabulous with them also! Robyn's the best! I've recommended Animal Care Centre to all my friends and family cause I know their animals will be taken care of there. Prices are very reasonable too!

I have been taking my 3 cats and 1 dog to the Animal Care Centre for years. They have performed dental surgery on all but one of my amimals and I purchase dog and cat food from them. My dog has been licking her paws raw, itchy & scratching, got an ear infection, has a horrible smell and started to get scabby black spots on her body. This has been going on for some time now and I just docked it up to allergies, and changed her food to Royal Canin Hypoallergenic formula about 8 months ago. Just a few days ago I discovered the cause of her symptoms, she has a yeast infection. Potatoes, corn, wheat and rice are just some of the ingredients that increase yeast production and need to be eliminated in the diet. These ingredients are conveniently found in the Royal Canin Hypoallergenic food I was feeding her. I had just bought a new bag, but then after realizing what she had I tried to return it but was told it was open and they could not take it back unless she had stopped eating it. The Animal Care Centre told me that it's Royal Canin's Policy and that they would not refund the food. I asked them to tell Royal Canin that she stopped eating the food and they told me that it wouldn't be fair to Royal Canin, a multi million dollar company. After going to this clinic for years I am to say the least very disappointed in how they handled this. I called Royal Canin and was told they couldn't do anything for me either. I'm in customer service and understand how important it is. The refund on the bag of food would be nothing for the company or the Vet Clinic and I would be writing a much more positive review right now had they refunded the food. So much for concern over my dog's health. Needless to say, I will not be taking any of my family back to this vet and I am now purchasing all of my food from Chow Bella in Okotoks who gave me great advice and sells quality food. My little Cairn Terrier is on the way to recovery! :)

There is no other place I would consider taking my puppy. The staff is very helpful, professional and kind, always willing to accommodate if it is possible. Dr. Dianne Genereux is a caring and compassionate vet. I never feel like I have wasted my time or money. Even if she does not know the answer she will do everything she can and refer you to a specialist so that a diagnosis can be made if need be. And she will always follow up after an appointment to see how your pet is doing. Your animal will always come first and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

Always very friendly staff, nothing is too much troublejust yesterday we were worried about our dog as he wasn't walking properly and we were very concerned, I called for an appointment and they were fully booked but still squeezed us in, our dog was given a shot which helps so much with his walking and further medication and a follow up phone call on a Saturday!!!!! How great is that!!! Thank you all for your concern and kindness ❤️🐶🤗
