Aark Dental removed my fear of dental work. Every single person who works there is amazing. Dr. Youseffi is patient and helpful. He really listened to what we needed and didn't push, didn't guilt, even though it had been a very long time since me or my husband were taking care of our teeth.
My husband's intense terror of dentists was such that he needed oral sedation for a cleaning. Now he goes on his own and comes back with a smile.
The hygienist, Sylvan, has hands of gold. It is the least painful cleaning I have ever had in my life. He is ever cheery and is a delight to see. I can say for the first time in my life that I am not scared of going to the dentist.
A few months ago I needed fillings, and my fear of them encouraged me to ask for oral sedation. After the first go at it, I did the rest of the fillings without. Yeah, I was nervous, but no where near what I used to be.
I recommend this place to anyone who wants a positive dental experience, no matter how severe their situation is. No guilting, no fuss no muss. Helpful and professional, I'm not going anywhere else.
Dr yousefi is the best dentist and he is very fair. He looks out for your budget too if he knows you have money problems. A great guy all around
First visit to Aark today; Sylvain (hygienist) was incredibly skilled (gentle!), knowledgeable (explained everything!), and hilarious (bonus points!). Dr. Yousefi gave me a great examination and explained the treatment plan and rationale. Everyone was professional and friendly. Looking forward to keeping my business here.
Not good in diagnosing issues at all. I had trouble in my molar/gum, often had to bear lot of pain after eating veggies/salads. So much that i started avoiding certain types of food This went on for more than 2 or 3 years, i almost resigned to the fact that i will have to live with this forever. They kept filling cavities around, recommended cleaning more often, even removed my Wisdoms (the low hanging fruits for any dentists)etc
I accidentally banged upon one of the dentist in my native. Just after listening to my symptoms, no X-rays nothing, suggested I need root canal and that its likely some small cavities are at the base of the gum where food particles are sticking in etc. He then invited me to the clinic and did tests and confirmed what he had recommended. I didn't continue the treatment due to insurance\claim hassles AND also i didn't want to trust him. I have had lot trust with dentists in general.
After returning though I thought may be i should try root canal. As it is i am in pain. So i went to this place, suggested them about root canal, which they did, and like to add yes pretty well, since all pain gone.
I almost feel like i got new life
So their execution might be good, but not the diagnosis which is more important
Learnt my lesson, as the old adage goes you can never expect the best at the most convenient locations like malls.
Its allright to do routine stuff like cleaning, cavities etc here, but if you have some real issue look elsewhere, in anycase they probably dont want you
I and my family go to a different clinic now, and i am much much happy. My trust with dentists is back
Gather around, I would like to share a story, one which involves great sadness, pain but mostly broken teeth and quite a bit of shame, shame not on me but on the one and only Aark Dental company.
But in all seriousness
Never in my life have I needed to post a poor review, in fact I tend to give everyone multiple chances on proving they are better then the first impression they leave on me.
Around November in 2016 I took a nasty fall but thankfully my face along with my teeth cushioned the blows of the concrete. This was my first time ever experiencing this sort of dental trauma, so I was not to educated on how to go about this, but I figured the first step would be to contact a dentist, at the time Aark seemed to be the only ones open
Beggars can't be choosers, am I right?
They looked at my teeth and contacted my insurance provider but insisted I had no money left on my account to cover the damages I was told I would have to wait until the following year once my insurance renewed to fix this. I asked if there was coverage under my accidental dental, to which they replied "We contacted your providers & you have nothing left on your account" I trusted these guys, I mean they are professional, they would never fail to do their due diligence..
So for over a month I'm walking around with broken teeth,
eventually I finally get to go back and they fill in the missing pieces.
I ended up going back a couple different times and I did have a good teeth cleaning.
Less then six months in, the fillings which were put in started to just fall out on there own, I could lick my teeth & a chunk would just crack off. When I brought it up with the dentist, I was told that I would need a root cannel, and bla bla bla, so I let that resonate with me for a while, eventually I decide to bite the bullet & pay a couple $100s out of pocket for the root cancel, upon calling to set up an appointment I'm greeted by the usual rude receptionist who states I have no more coverage left.
I ask how that's possible when I have 2 options and some of the work I had done should have been filed under accidental benefits. I request to have all of my receipts emailed to me, I calculated the totals myself.
lo and behold, there was not a chance in hell whoever filed my claims filed them correctly, but before I call again I make certain that i'm correct with my findings.
I contact my providers and find out they filed nothing under my accidental dental coverage, they sent everything to my basic plan. I then review everything with my insurer who by the way is disgusted over the fact they should have fixed this in 2016 but decided to leave me as was.
I then gathered some documents I needed the dentist to sign, I went further as to find some policy numbers to help simplify the job that I was paying these people to do.
I call the Aark dental again and said " Hi i'll be coming in to morrow, I have a few documents which needs a dentists signature, since a few of my claims had been filed in the wrong category," But that sassy receptionist like a chiwawa started barking saying "What accident? I have nothing on your file for that, or are you just now realizing that something was an accident"
Me- um no I had my teeth broken.
Her- I'm not seeing anything, oh, are you talking about the cleaning you just had done? is that what you're wanting to file under your accidental dental?
I remain silent cause, it's not just what this chick said, it's how she said it, there was so much attitude, she was snarky and condescending. However eventually she went back to the whole reason I even went to them in the first place aka dem broken teeth.
She then went on to say that she's the one who "signs all documents".
I then say, well i'm looking at this now and it clearly displays that a dentists signature is required. Then she says, when I go in the following day, her and I can review the docs
Disgustingly poor work ethic! I decided to fax the file over, the documents have not been signed yet, but I will update you guys on how they choose to respond!

Sylvain is the best hygienist I have ever had!!! I met him a few years back at another dental office I was working at and have followed him since despite the long commute. I am also a dental hygienist so I can appreciate a thorough good cleaning. He is very knowledgeable and I am always learning something new from him! He taught me about oral cancer and how to use a screening device. Amazing hygienist, I highly recommend him!! Thank you Sylvain!
Sylvain is the best dental hygienist I have ever had. He has wonderful bedside manner and is very knowledgeable and up-to-date. He gave me some great tips on how to improve my sensitive teeth and dental routine. We moved, and I was thinking of switching dentists, but now that Sylvain is my hygienist I am happy to commute in order to have a stress free appointment. I no longer need to take medication to calm me down before a cleaning.
Had my teeth cleaned by Sylvain the hygienist, very gentle but very thorough :) I would highly recommend him to anyone who is nervous about the dentist, very well informed and great bedside manner. Very happy with the job done. Also had my exam done by Dr. Yousefi, very good at explaining treatment - also very well informed. :) 5/5
My experience at Aark Dental was definitely a positive one. I came in with a broken front tooth and it was below the gum and no other option but to have it removed. Now this was absolutely not what I ever wanted to happen in my mouth. But as it was extraction was the only option.
Everyone was so compassionate that I felt assured it was going to all come out for the better. I had the surgery and had to have a bone graft also. I then had to have an implant and all so smooth. Healing was on going and I had decided to have a full upper arch reconstruction. Dr. Y was fantastic. So professional and precise in his work . We had to have a number of appointments were to be preformed and he kept is word that no appointments were going to be longer than 2 hours. When it was all finished and new crowns cemented I had a brand new beautiful smile and a more youthful look. Everyone at the office is top notch. the best service and so friendly. I was so relieved as my daughters wedding was only a few moths away and all the work was completed in time with room to spare. Thank you everyone at Aark Dental :)
No regard for people's time. Showed up for appointment to replace painful lost filling as explained when I booked appointment. Arrived and was told that dentist could only do a check up but not replace the filling and that they tried to call my number but it was blocked. Give me a break .I had given Receptionist my cell number as well and never got a call.So what was the point of booking the appointments only to pay for a check up. Receptionist was not sympathetic and just sent me away in pain. This dentle office should consider replacing the sub standard front desk employees. I would guess that this place won't be around long as they really lack in basic customer service skills. When a Client books off an evening of work for a confirmed Appt where you have throughly explained your dentle situation and they just don't care .This place is nothing but a $$$$ grab. Beware and honestly do yourself a favor and find another dentle clinic.
terrible experience. receptionist at the front with blonde hair was very rude, kids were crying in the back. went in for appointment and came out in so much pain. the assistant was mean and too young. will not go again.
The staff at this office were very helpful and informative, and fit me in quickly because I had a toothache. Dr. Yousefi was great, he diagnosed the problem immediately and fixed my tooth. No more pain, and my filling is beautiful.
I will return again for a complete checkup and to make sure that the rest of my teeth remain problem free and healthy.
