For the next 8 weeks, students from the Business Analytics Postgraduate Program at St. Lawrence College will work with 1 Million Teachers as part of their experiential learning - helping us develop a Strategic Analytics Framework, analyzing our data, and helping with the deployment of version 1.0 of our Virtual Teaching Assistant, Amilah.

Brainsprouting:
"creativity is as important as literacy and we should treat it with the same significance. More and more children are educated out of taking risks and they become numb to trying and failing before they succeed. We need to teach them to be prepared to be wrong and to be original.
The world is becoming more and more dynamic and the ability to be adaptable is now a valued commodity. Creative intelligence generates the perfect skill set which we need to equip young people with so that they can navigate an increasingly complex and unpredictable world.
It is this innovation and imagination that many employers and companies seek to attract in their candidates. They want the creative thinkers, the challengers, and the risk takers on their team. They want their employees to have the ability to look, to see and to react to something which is in front of them. This reflects a growing acceptance that creativity is not simply about coming up with big ideas but coming up with practical solutions to everyday problems and then applying them to real-life situations.
Everything around us – our homes, cities, medical services, transport and communication systems – are conceived and developed by practical people who know how to implement creative ideas.
We cannot predict where the world is going or where we will be as a society in 10 years’ time. Career change statistics suggest that the average person will be making a career change approximately 5-7 times during their working life. We, therefore, need to teach children to be adaptable and how to develop a ‘could-be’ attitude."

one million teachers project is an excellent platform for training leaders and not just teachers. i have learned a lot from their insightful modules. Be you a doctor, lecturer, pastor, teacher, parent, professor, politician etc. you need to be educated by 1million teachers. it's the BEST.
