Gorgeous park. Caracol and Rio on Pools is the perfect day. Take a swimsuit and a lunch, you won't want to leave.

This was a nice place. I was expecting something closer to a US forest, and this place is not really like that. The attractions here we’re really cool. We went to Rio Pools and a Big Rock Falls, and stayed in the lodges. The forest itself leaves something to be desired.

With a tour guide, this place is great. We went here specifically for bird watching and were able to see approximately 70 species of birds. It such a big place that you definitely need a vehicle to drive around. The roads are just as interesting as the rest of the place! There are sweeping vistas, dense forests, and a lot of wildlife. If you are looking for a day away from everything, this is a great locale!

A huge forest with stunning scenery, many attractions and free entry. I visited one of the more accessible areas, the Rio on Pools - easy to park and not very crowded. Opportunity to swim in a waterfall after a short, steep downhill walk. Note that roads leading to forest are bumpy and you will have to go slow, took a very long time to get from main roads to forest -- 4 wheel drive highly recommended. You will also be stopped on the way to have your license plate recorded.

Nice area with a few interesting natural attractions such as Big Rock Falls and Rio On Pools. You'll need a 4WD vehicle to get around and budget plenty of time for slow driving on very rough roads. Some of the low narrow bridges might get flooded during or after heavy rains so check the weather before heading here. Free admission but have to stop at the entrance gate so they can record your car plate and ask for your destination.

Upland Savannah Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve very scenic and picturesque of granite rocks, valleys, hills, and tributaries of the upper part of the Macal Rivers.

Tons of free sight seeing. Quiet with very little traffic in the off season. Some of the sights you can go see are breath taking. I can't wait to go back!
