  If you are looking for a beautiful resort, with seclusion from the outside world, amazing food, and romantic getaway look no further than Matachica. Highly recommend booking a package, best way to get your money's worth so you can have activities included in your stay and most of your meals included. Food was excellent at Mambo restaurant. The staff is incredible! Don't forget to stop by the duty free on your way there, drinks can add up quick. Also bring lots of sunscreen and lotion!

  Great getaway resort my wife and I stayed at for a long weekend. The staff is beyond friendly. There are great activities to do such as snorkling, swimming with sharks, fishing, and more. It's a very quiet resort that is very beautiful and relaxing.

  My wife and I came to Matachica (translation: small plant) to celebrate our 15th anniversary.
  
  This place is all romance. No kids allowed ;-)
  
  The views from the beach are spectacular. We were fortunate to experience a super moon in a clear sky. It was as if the heavens were celebrating with us.
  
  The staff and service are what you would expect from the best 5 star resorts.
  
  Dinner each evening is in lovely outdoor restaurant on the property and you are served by the same waitress each night. The cuisine was based on local Belize options and was delicious.
  
  I look forward to coming back very soon.
