I'll start by saying that I stayed in the room with a private bath. I cannot comment on the other rooms, as I didn't check them out. I'm not a college student on a shoestring budget, but if I find myself in San Ignacio again, I'll be coming back to J&R.
Everything I saw was clean and well kept. We had towels and soap, but I don't remember if shampoo was provided. The owner was always nearby and welcoming, if she had been needed.
The bedroom was tidy. The mattress was a little rough on my old sway back, but was fine for my wife. Again, everything was clean.
The shared kitchen was quite sufficient, with a 4 burner stove, full size fridge, microwave, dishes, utensils, and pots/pans. There were even seasonings. All you need to bring is something to cook.
The location is maybe a couple of blocks away from the city center, so pretty much anything you might want is within a 5 to 10 minute walk, and there's much less auto traffic and noise than at the places by the bus stop.response / report this review -

Very nice and cheap option in San Ignacio: 37 BZD for private room with shared bathroom. Soap and towels for free. The owner was very frendly and the rooms and bathroom are very clean. There is a kitchen (free coffee) and a living room. A nice littel dog watches the house.

One of our favourite places we stayed in - not just in belize but of all central America. This is a small family run guest house, nothing fancy just a room a fan and a shared bathroom! But it was clean, cheap and the family who run it are lovely. Very helpful information, great communal kitchen which we utilised alot with no problems and great location. Highly recommended!

Very cheap, for the price it is good. Rooms are quite small and it is a little too warm for sleeping. The fan is noisy.

Charming little guest house run by an elderly lady good price and clean. Close to many restaurants and use of the a kitchen with tea and coffee.

Very nice lace to stay, friendly people, good location in 5 minutes walk from the center of town. Clean rooms, no bugs, kitchen with dishes, cable TV, good wi fi signal.
