Very tacky man made island. Beach is made up of cheap ground up Sea shells. Pretty sure the people of Belize make fun of this place.

A great little island to hang out on and relax for an afternoon. The ocean water was very warm, and the beach was clean and had lots of places to sit at. There was a water park for kids if they got bored with the ocean. There is a free animal exhibit to see some of the animals of Belize, including a butterfly enclosure, which was fun to see. The only issue I had was with the humidity. Even in September, I was only able to withstand about 3 hours in the Sun and humidity without starting to get dehydrated.

This cay is very beautiful in appearance with a fun relaxing feel.

It should be noted that the current appearance of this cay is not of natural origin. The area is commercially developed by importing sand, vegetation and some wildlife for tourist enjoyment.

If you just want to drink, listen to music, sun bathe, sit in a pool, zip line, look at beautiful tropical creatures (in cages) or hang out in the sandy lagoon, then this is the spot.

The beach front has comfortable sunbathing areas with many lifeguards to help us watch out for one another. I spent some time out in the saltwater and discovered it is all sand with really no tropical fish to view or rocky/coral type of patches to look at underwater. Unlike the other coastal areas of Belize that have the most amazing natural reef habitat in the world.

Eating and drinking areas are very easy to find and if salt water is not your thing, there are huge pools to hang out in with one another. This is definitely just a relax and party place with very little to worry about.

If you want a spot for just hanging out, thinking about nothing, and soaking up the sunlight Harvest Caye is the place.

Our last port that we docked at on our cruise was Harvest Key in Belize. Basically this port was a mangrove that was converted to a tourist trap. You do not get any real sense of Belize. They did offer excursions to the mainland, but at a cost. We did a quick tour of the small island and then headed back.to the ship. The powdery white sand beaches that we were told about do not exist. The sand was course and consisted of ground up shells and coral.

The beach is okay, rough sand and not great snorkeling. Definitely not the Belize I've come to love. However this was a pretty okay resort. If you had told me this was in Florida I'd have given it five stars.

Lots of folks have said it was expensive but a Coke was $2 and a waiter brought it to my free beach lounger so I guess it's all relative. I'm sure there was some shady stuff when NCL renovated the island but I dunno. Like I said, it's okay.

All ecological nightmares aside (I'll get to that in a minute), this port is really just okay. It is not truly privately owned by Norwegian like Great Stirrup Cay, so you can't use your ship card to get food/drinks/merchandise. All food and drink is similarly priced - overpriced and not particularly worth it the cost. Two margaritas, a chicken finger basket, and ceviche ran us about $60 before tip at Landshark. If it's not a sunny day, water is VERY murky and essentially feels like you're in a lake. There are stingrays around, and they even had their "Dangerous Marine Life" flags up because of the murky conditions and hiding rays, but no one seemed to care as I saw plenty of people stomping around the water without water shoes. There are a few lifeguard stations on the beach which was nice to see. Decent shopping if you're into the type of stuff they had there (souvenirs, jewelry, chocolate/coffee, etc.) but overpriced - found the exact same flower pot in Mexico as I did on Harvest Caye but for $30 less. The landscaping was absolutely immaculate and if you are into botany, it's fun to look at all the different plants they've placed around the island, as well as the tiny bird and butterfly sanctuary (there is also a snake). Kayaking in the lagoon was okay but it's a really small area to go around. Rentals are for one hour and it gets a bit boring doing the same small circuit over and over.

However, even if this place had all the best amenities and more, nothing will ever hide the fact that they dredged up important coral to build this island. This was completely unnecessary and quite honestly made me sad to even be on the island in the first place. The mesoamerican barrier reef is the second largest in the world and is already threatened by rising ocean temperatures, habitat loss, lionfish, and other man-made factors. It should not have to deal with a cruise line taking a nice chunk away from it as well.

Beautiful island but even with just one cruise ship in, it was too crowded. You could stand in the huge pool - too busy to swim around. The sand at the beach was so coarse it was hard to stand on (this coming from someone who grew up going to cobblestone, pebbley, and sandy beaches in eastern Canada). The lagoon looked beautiful but you could see the bottom was slimy - we did not venture out on paddleboards as we didn't want to chance falling in. Food was expensive on the island as well.

Its beautiful, relaxing and friendly.
If you've never been its nice.
I'll go back to Belize for my food and shopping, that Harvest Caye cant offer. - only a 15 min tender(boat) ride.
I Love Norwegian!!💖

A totally fake island that bears no resemblance to Belize. The pool is full of kids urine because they don't have a fresh water supply to change it. The beach is dredged up reef. The water is murky. The queues for the zip line are an hour long. Your drinks package doesn't cover the island and EVERYTHING is mega expensive. The stores sell tripped trash at extortionate prices.
And then there is the wildlife side show. Totally disgusting to keep wildlife in a cage. The curator doesn't know what he is talking about. Macaw and Toucans should be in the forest and NOT on a salty sandy Caye. Do yourselves a favour and stay on the boat. Because you are NOT visitng Belize.

Something for everyone from beach to pool restaurants and bars and a nice mix of nature and water sports. Five stars for the effort but you are really just on a private island and nothing to do with Belize . Swim up pool bar was awesome.

This is a private island resort in the southern part of Belize. There is plenty to do on island. A beautiful beach and many other activities. We had a great time cruising on an electric boat for a few hours and just walking around.

Manufactured resort by Norwegian Cruise Line. It is an island so difficult to get to the main land unless you go on an organised excursion from the ship. To be fair, when we went it had only just opened and wasn't quite finished. If all you want to do is relax by a pool or do a few activities you will enjoy it. We tend to want to do a bit more and of local life

Wow, this place is so beautiful, clean, relaxing, fun with lots of room to roam and chairs to soak up the sun. Add to that a great pool bar and a zip-line. This is best cruise owned island I've been to.

Beautiful little island owned by NCL. Prices were a little high on food and drinks, and the food and drink packages from the cruise ship did not cover anything. Loved the pool though!

Loved that it's a private island. Didn't have to get an excursion. Plenty to do just walking off the boat. It's brand new so everything is amazing and still in excellent condition.
