Delicious bbq chicken. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I can’t wait for lunch time to go back there again!
Great food, everything is fresh and the people are really friendly. We had lunch there everyday. It was something to look forward to, coz their menu changes everyday. You better get there early coz it's a small place, with few tables but the food makes up for it
At Dawn's, a small family serves up extremely delicious and flavourful food - they even have vegan options! My partner and I had a Creole sauce with veggies on coconut rice, and a curry sauce with veggies on rice and beans. The flavour and seasonings that went into each dish blew me straight out of the water. I had to have it twice!
We topped our meal with fresh watermelon juice and a light local beer.
Jolene, Julia, Dawn, and the rest of the women there are fantastic, wonderful people. I highly recommend this restaurant. Apparently it's been filling up recently, and it's easy to see why! It feels like home cooking.
A great place to go for dinner. Food was excellent! Everything was fresh and tasty! My new favorite restaurant in town!
Food was excellent, as always. Tonight I had Garlic Lobster & Shrimp, with vegetables cooked in the sauce, served with coconut rice and a garden salad. Fresh watermelon juice to drink. Friendly service. Great location in the village.
Friendly staff, fantastic food and decent pricing.atmosphere is relaxed and personal.
Great Caribbean cuisine at acceptable prices with a long standing tradition of the multi-generational Belizean family that owns it. Exquisite Caribbean flavors and extremely fresh seafood serviced by the owners Dawn and her daughter Jolie.
The price was amazing and so was the food! Staff was helpful and friendly. Overall a fantastic place to eat!
Loved lunch so much we came back for dinner. A must try when in town for sure!
One of my two favorite places to eat in Placencia. Dawn and Jolie make amazing pepper sauces too! Really looking forward to my next meal at Dawn's.
Had breakfast and dinner, both were superb. The traditional Belizean breakfast is heavy packed and will get you going all day. For dinner I had the conch, which was soft and buttery. Highly recommend
Food was delicious, wine was tasty, and the dessert was amazing! The woman who runs it and her daughter were wonderful and very friendly. If/when I come back to Placencia, I will be back to Dawn's!
Not a big variety. Spicy food. A bit overpriced for Belize.
Delicious Bealizean food.great customer service.
Local food, excellent! Both breakfast and dinner were perfect. Dawn makes her own hot sauce, too.
Delicious, reasonably priced, and Dawn herself is delightful.
Great food, friendly people, great service and fun rustic atmosphere.
Nady, cooks/serves,tends bar,She does it ALL!!!
Went to the high end restaurants in town: Rumfish and Maya bistro, which were both good but didn't blow us away. But the food here was insane - and the desserts were equally amazing - at a fraction of the price. The grilled lobster was one of the best I have had and I grew up in Mass. it's small. The decore is spartan. The staff is so friendly. The best we had in town.
Amazing food. Great service
We tried to branch out and try all of the best places in town to eat but this was the third place and we got stuck and have to keep coming back. This is the best bunch of meals in all of Placencia. So far we have had creole lobster, deep fried lobster, and curry lobster. Dawn says she also makes it two other ways, garlic lobster and fried lobster. We have two dinners left, coincidence??? I think not. They also had the best shrimp ceviche I have ever eaten. Dawn is the mom and the chef. Jolie is the daughter and the waitress. Last night I dreamed of dinner tonight. This is real Belizean style stuff. The place is open air and they provide free mosquito repellent.
Hours note: They are closed from 3:00PM to 5:30PM
