My daughter and I had lunch at Mango's. It's a shady retreat with a relaxed atmosphere. Every seat has an ocean view. The service was friendly and professional. The food came hot and delicious. We had fish tacos, calamari and key lime pie would definitely go back again.

We ate at Mangoes 3 times while staying nearby for a week. We liked the atmosphere, views and the food. The bar seating is great since it faces the ocean. Try the mango sauce that's on all the tables. It's so good you'll want to take a few bottles of it home with you.

First star for proximity to resort. Second star was for a good mixed drink. Other than being in a cute hut with a beach view, this place did little for us. The place was complete gringo land. The waiter was only able to determine that the ingredients of the special salad were "other things". We struggled to find local tastes or anything that wasn't greasy/heavy pub food. The fish and chips were good batter but were under cooked and soggy inside. The coconut rice didn't taste like anything but standard white rice, but was over cooked with some hard pieces mixed in. The service while not competent was also slow (they mentioned that a large group was impacting speed) They did however have a friendly disposition.

The best fish (red snappers) tacos I have ever eaten. They were soft tortilla and layered with the most amazingly hot (not too hot) spices. Side order of stew beans coconut rice was perfect.

On our way to placencia from blancaneaux. Stopped here for a bite and a drink. Food was awesome and super fresh. Highly recommended!!!!
