Great place as a solo traveler to meet other people. The numerous hammock chill spots are conducive to social interaction. Great location. 2 blocks from 'The Split' (where everyone hangs out during the day) and 2 blocks from Sports Bar (where everyone on the island parties at night). The motto here is "1 more night" I stayed here for 3 weeks and watched guest after guest extend their stay another night. It's the getaway from a fast paced lifestyle. Super chill and laid back. Super nice family that owns and operates it. Free canoes and bikes. There's an actual sand beach that takes about 15 minutes to canoe to that's super cool. You're making a mistake if you stay at a different hostel on Caye Caulker.

This is a good spot if you want to party and meet others who want to do the same. The main issue for us is the bumping music that went on until 1 or later each night. If you want a quiet spot or to get some sleep, I can't say I'd recommend this spot. It also doesn't score super high on cleanliness if that matters to you but I found it tolerable.

There aren't really any established campsites here either but it's possible to put up your tent. But, on the upshot they have nice sunsets and free canoes to borrow. The owner is also nice and helpful.

I've stayed in about 50+ hostels over the past 7 months of backpacking and this was by far the worst. We stayed in the dorm room in the basement and I could literally hear rats crawling in the walls next to my head. It was terrible. The whole place had a weird stink to it. The bathrooms were constantly wet and out of toilet paper. Plus the staff was extremely rude to us. I would not recommend this hostel.

Very laid back place. Not to much emphasis on comfort or cleanliness. On the plus side, free use of canoes and bikes is cool.

This hostel rocks! Some people I met stayed here and the crowd was a lot of fun. Great owner! If the rooms are all booked you can pitch a tent out back for 7.50 a night.

We stayed for 1 night. Although the owner was really friendly but everything was really dirty and old. You could feel the bed trough mattresses and sheets they use are kind of plastic. Bathroom looked like not cleaned in days. Really needs improvement.

Instalaciones viejas, un baño para 6 personas, no desayuno, no toallas, lockers rotos, sucio.

Super chill. Bathrooms are ok, beds are good, there is an AC room and private rooms as well. I spent 9 nights here and loved every second.

Honestly one of the best hostels I've been to in Central America! Basically a big "family" house with both dorms and private rooms. Two kitchens and a backyard with sunset view.
Such a nice vibe and you get to know people really quickly. The great staff and a cute dog named Luna welcomed us with open arms!
