Athens Gate is a wonderful place to stay in San Pedro. We loved our week stay. It is on the South side of the island, just far enough to be remote, but just close enough to enjoy town whenever you want. Cindy, Danny and Luis are the best. Cindy can book any excursion you want to do, and they will pick you up right from the dock!!! Can't recommend this place enough.

This is a very smooth running apartment hotel. Each apartment is very well equipped. It is the only hotel I have been to where they have supplied free suntan lotions. The staff is super friendly and helpful. No negative comments.

Great place. Off the beaten path but close enough to the town via golf cart. Loved everything about this place. Ezekiel fondly known as "E" took great care of us. At the resort as well as booking our day trips, suggesting restaurants etc. No matter the need he was there to assist. We will definitely be back!!!

UN-BELIZE-ABLE!!!!
This place is world class. I have traveled all over the world and I can not remember a place as special as this place. The accommodations are first class but the service is like nothing I have experienced. The small team on site treated us all like family and we were on a first name basis with them all within a couple days. This is a small property but has everything you could possibly want and the fact that is so small makes you feel like the entire property is all for you. The booking agent Lori Brown is something special too. She made sure that everything was just perfect at the resort and all the dives and activities were scheduled perfectly. Absolutely beautiful place! Quiet, comfortable, and fantastic service the entire time! The staff went above & beyond to see that we had everything we needed at all times! We just got back from a week there and I am already wanting to go back for more. I highly recommend that you experience Athens Gate. You will not be disappointed!

I cannot say enough about Athens gate. I've never done a relaxing "beachy" type vacation and Athens gate truly fulfilled everything I imagined it would be. Quite literally every person I interacted with at the property was friendly, professional, and helpful. The staff helped with booking transportation from the property to/from the airport, booking a snorkeling adventure, and even helping us book a golf cart so we could drive ourselves around the island. I am already dreaming of when I may be lucky enough to go back.

Absolutely amazing vacation spot! Staff were unbelievably friendly, and the location is perfect. It is a bit South on the island, so while it takes a small amount of time to get there, it is worth it for the privacy.

We stayed around the end of July for a week and absolutely loved every second of it. The staff is extremely accommodating and nice. The atmosphere is second to none. Beautiful pool, unbelievable views. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, homey and no balcony has a better view than another. Next time we visit Belize we will stay at Athens Gate again. Although there was no restaurant at the resort, there we several within walking distance, which we found to be a plus because it made it quiet and relaxing without the added noise.

This is the best place to stay in Belize. A group of us go back year after year. The staff is friendly and helpful. The last time we were there, we caught some fish. They cooked them for us with coconut cream and tomatoes. It was better than you would get in the best restaurant. We will be back again.
