Fantastic Kalahari bush experience where you will be surrounded by silence!
This location on GMaps is only the entrance to the campsite, this is where you pay for your stay. You have to drive more to the north-east to reach the various spots where you can actually camp. They are really scattered, you will have plenty of privacy. Ablution blocks sometimes without water because the animals open the taps and empty the tanks. Even further, at the foot of the hills, in front of the small museum, there is another campsite. There was water in this one, yeah! We only had a 2x4 car so it was quite exhausting to get there, a lot of sand or sharp rocks or deep gouges and NO signs to guide you into the maze of tracks. But I made it and would do it again because the walk in the hills was really interesting, with a very knowledgeable guide and the view from the top is great. I guess with a fully equipped 4x4 camping jeep it must really be a piece of cake.
