The Chinese restaurant is great. Best noodles in Gaborone. Steaks at the Beef Baron are really tasty. The Boma further down from the pool is ideal for private functions.

Beautiful Hotel and Garden surrounding areas.A real Oasis in the middle of Gaberone. Good for the kids to play and adults to have a drink by the pool.Hotel is well staffed and the restaurants are excellent.

Room service was really bad only a few items available on their actual menu. There's no actual document with any emergency, room service or reception numbers. The rooms are tiny. Some rooms are right next to a major road. Good luck sleeping through that noise. One good thing: reception staff was very welcoming.

The best service in all of gaborone a. Beef Baron Restaurant downstairs in the hotel has amazing service and amazing steaks! I really recommend it. If you are more into working by the pool you can do that and the service will bring you beers and snacks. Be careful of the monkeys!

Great place to visit. I had pap and vleis (maize meal and meat ) for dinner - delicious! They also do a wood fired pizza, have beer on tap, and a great swimming pool next to an outside bar. Other restaurants include a great steakhouse and a Chinese restaurant.

The Grand Palm provides a 360degree atomsphere for a diverse range of travellers. Local families can swim, eat, drink and have fun there the whole day. While travellers can be treated to five star accommodation. For the roving businessman there are conference facilities and world standard services.

Just having dinner at the restaurant. The food is ok. Was here last year. Not much has changed.
Had dinner there on the 30th of September as part of my BOTS 50 celebrations. I enjoyed the meal. Standards are still the same. Definitely will pass by again, God willing
The meals are not bad. I was last there in April.

Aa lovely venue in the heart of Gaborone. Casino is quite small, but there is a lovely restaurant outside called The fig tree where you can have an ice cold draught or cocktail next to the pool while listening to some live music and eating a sandwich or enjoy some of the buffet braai. Worth a visit

When we arrived with my friend after driving 430km from Francistown we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned. We went back to reception to ask for a different room and all the check-in lady said was "oh, but the system shows its clean." She was not very apologetic at all.
The keycard didn't work immediately. We had to give it a few good tries before we could have access to the door.
The room had a standing lamp that had exposed wires near the switch. I was afraid I would get electrocuted trying to turn it on.
The blanket they had in the room had torn lining. It really did not look like inviting.
When we asked for an iron in the morning from housekeeping and I indicated to the lady that I was in a rush she responded with "yeah I heard you." I called back about 20min later and was told they had gone to the wrong room. Which indicated that I did get attitude from the lady I had spoken with and my room number had not been taken down properly.
Overall the experience was not great, from a 5 Star hotel!!!response / report this review -

Superb accommodation close to the centre of business in Gaborone. Lovely grounds and excellent service make this an excellent choice.

Great place for family outings,functions and just a nice Joll. Beef Baron Restaurant boasts as one of Botswana's best grill joint serving best beef cuts in the country. Wine selection is amazing. Gardens and scenery are wonderful. Is a 5 star hotel complemented by the Metcourt Inn on the same property.

The Grand Palm has always been our favourite hotel in Gaborone but on our last visit the breakfasts were dreadful. We're happy to say the new executive chef has changed that and the breakfasts are back to 5 star! Combine this with great service, comfortable rooms and superb dinners and the Grand Palm is a winner.
