Nice architectural administrative building cum a fortress.A typical Bhutenese style of architecture. Beautiful paintings,courtyards.Caps, hats or umbrellas are not allowed inside as a respect.
Walking distance away from the National Museum or from the town center (It has 2 entrances). No need to take a cab. One of the most beautiful dzongs in the country.
A beautiful Dzong; great views from the riverside, just downstream of the bridge; well lit with floodlights after 6-30pm; the venue of the (first day) of the Paro tsechu, which i was fortunate to attend; second day onwards, the tsechu is conducted in an area just 100m from the Dzong; visit the dzong, walk around it for views of the Paro valley and marvel at the imposing white walls of the dzong
