  A monastery built in commemoration of great service to the Nation in 2013 by His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck. It is built by Her Majesty Queen Mother Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck. The wall murals of the monastery has all history of Monarchy and the nation's development over many decades.
  
  It has also constituted a unique festival dedicated to great sacrifice made by His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and the armed forces.

  While traveling through Dochula pass, a stop at Druk Wangyel Monastery is worth a few kilograms of gold.
