This is a nice hotel situated in a tranquil place and at center of the city. Most of the rooms have wonderful view of the mountains.The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. The rooms are well decorated with modern design and facilities. Common lobby areas and entrance have touch of traditional Bhutanese design. The staffs are very gentle and well behaved.

Hotel is appx 300 meters from the market, Very helpful staff , would say we received out of the way service. Decent breakfast spread. Delicious "ema dachi" served for dinner .. special thanks to "Sangay" from the f & b department, she is boon to the hotel, very polite and customer centric. She guided us and also charted an itinerary making our local experience more pleasant..

Excellent rooms and staff going out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. One of the best indian food in Bhutan. Bar with Karaoke to have fun in the evenings. Loved it!!

This note is about the Hotel Osel Thimphu and its staff.

I got a room at Hotel Osel Thimphu with a superb view on either side and in the mornings, the view was breath taking to say the least. Good things about the room – the windows are very much openable. So in the morning, you can let in the fresh air into the room.

Room was very spacious – giving ample leg space. Easily one couple and a child can stay with an additional bed. All the amenities are provided for, good running hot water, wooden floor (it is helpful during winters).

And the best part, the staff who are really very good. Am thankful and grateful to each of them for making my stay absolutely wonderful and memorable in all respects.

Hotel is just off the main road – so you are cut off from the whatever little noise. However, the entrance, could have been better and more easier. From the Hotel to the Bus stop, cab takes about Nu. 50. Taxis are easily available near the Hotel.

I will stay again when I visit Bhutan the next time. I will not really look around for another place. Period.

Good location. Parking adequate.
Large dining area. Small shop. Lift available. Senior citizen friendly. Food good. Indian and Bhutanese. F&B staff competent. Veiw from dining area superb.

Spacious and located near the main street. Only disappointed with the stains on the bedsheets and lack of shower curtain which caused the floor to be wet after showering. Please bring your ear plugs for sleeping as the stray dogs tend to bark for long periods at late nights.
