Great experience. You must visit. Take your children. They will gladly enjoy. The traditional mask and stuffs may remind you voodoo. Try to visit every place. You can't use camera inside the rooms. They have precious things to protect.

Very easy to notice from the normal traffic and this museum aptly showcase their culture and heritage values. Photography isn't allowed which is not quite satisfied. Ambience is good and seems few constructions work is ongoing. Cool and chill climate.

Pictures are not allowed inside the museum, so that was a bummer. But there are so many interesting artifacts all around. They have been kept in great condition too!

Historical place to learn something about Bhutan. Though due to renovation, this place has been shifted to little another place near by when I visited. The way to go to this museum is little other side instead from main paro road which makes this place little less convenient to go for walking person. This place is having nice historical facts, figures and preservation for Bhutan particularly different kind of evolutionary trend of Bhutanese 👀

The photography was not allowed as it void the purpose of museum, but the museum is must go, as there is complete description of fauna and floral of bhutan. The taxidermy specimen are worth a watch. The charges are also quite nominal we paid around Rs 50 for 2.
We had earlier paid some 300 per head for Thimphu Cortel which was total waste of time and money.

National museum of Bhutan. Paro. Its one of the historical place which was a watch tower before and in 1969 they converted into national museum of Bhutan. Its a wonderful place for photography.!!!

A nice collection of bhutanese treasures.
U can see the types of birds, butterflies, stones, animals and creatures here . All the samples are original and dead.
You can see the religious believe of the Buddhism that after death what will happen with the mask and statues. There is clay statues and some old style objects here.
For saarc countries entry fee is 50 rupees.
By taxi , u can go in 150 rupees.
The museum is shifted in new building now.
You can see Raven birds here. The Bhutanese national bird. There is a locker system here. So u can keep the goods, materials and mobile here. There is no charge for it.

Well decorated and arranged properly with the antique items of Bhutan.

Before entrance anyone should purchase entry access from the ticket counter. Mobile and digital camera are strickly prohibited inside the museum

The front view of the museum is so nice that anyone can enjoy the place surely.

Exhibits the culture of Bhutan in details. It's not a place to go and just see the items. There are many things to learn with videos and descriptions within the museum. Go there with 2-3 hours time to spare if you want to learn the culture of Bhutan at length.

We loved the positive vibes of the country.
we liked their stone and mud architecture, complicated weaving techniques ( inter connection of threads), Buddhist painting on facades,floral windows too.
We felt that amazing cleanliness and peace also for one onther.
In short , you should try this international tour to see different types of experience.

It's a nice place, but not much stuff to see. One or two videos which are played in every 5-10 mins is nice. If you have time crunch in your trip, you can avoid a trip to this place.

The National Museum of Bhutan in Paro displays the rich culture of the country through its different exhibits. There is an extensive collection of thangkas and masks. The watchtower is in the shape of a conch, but it had suffered damages in the 2011 earthquake and is under renovation. On a clear day, when there is blue sky you will have a glimpse of the valley.

The national museum of Bhutan contains plethora of artefacts, paintings, sculptures relating to the rich heritage of the country and Buddhism. The museum gives lot of information about the religious aspects, beliefs and traditions followed in Bhutan. Apart from all this it also provides of lot of information regarding the geography, flora and fauna which can be found there. If you want have an overview of Bhutan it's a great place to be. The tour can be completed within 2 hrs or it can take quite some time depending on your interests.

Beautiful place! Seems really close to city, but it's really not. But you get some nice views from up here.

There are restrictions taking photos inside, you can keep you camera inside the lockers provided and go in.

So good architecture, the interior is in spiral form and underground too. The building feels to be bigger in inside then from the outside. It feels like some shady game when exploring this meuseum.

Position of the museum is Lovely and amidst a picturesque scenic view. Staffs are polite but collections are not so good enough as it ought to be in a national museum. They don't accept Indian currency of Rupees 500/ note.

Small museum set up in a picturesque cliff side that serves a magnificent view of the rural town of Paro. The museum itself is a small building that houses specimens relating to the cultural and natural history of Bhutan and a small documentary explaining the different traditional dance forms of Bhutan and their cultural significance is played regularly at intervals of 5 minutes.

It does not house a massive number of specimens but it is the quaint atmosphere of the place along with the beautiful setting makes this museum worth a visit.

An amazing museum situated at the top of Paro. A beautiful view of the city awaits when you reach there. I would recommend walking to the museum from the city rather than coming in a cab. The trek up there is a bit long and at times a bit steep but definitely worth the effort!

This Museum does provide a detailed insight of the Bhutanese people and their culture. You will also come across various instruments and armory used by them in the past.

Building is very old and there are several floors in the museum. If you are visiting Paro, include the place in your itinerary. 30-40 minutes to stay there should be ok other wise you will feel bored.

Timing impacted our visit. The exhibit was limited due to the restoration in progress after a fire. The temporary exhibits were well done. I think once the main museum is reopened, it will be a must see.

An excellent collection of Bhutanese culture and natural resources. Nice collection of masks, painting and sculptures.

The Bhutanese flora and fauna collection is very informative too.

Best free up some time when you visit the museum. You are going to regret if you cut it short.
