Very nice hotel. Amazing views. Spacious. Staff were super friendly
very friendly, attentive and hospitable staff members. amenities are basic but the room is big and cosy. we had a room facing the fields!
Good views. Reasonable food. Good service.
We had no idea that this will turn out to be such an exquisite hotel. From decor to furniture to hospitality to food to ambience it stands out among the best hotels. The rooms are huge. Including the toilet, each room in the main building is around 900 sq ft. Rooms facing the river have balconies and has good view. Owner Mr Pasang Druk Gyel and his wife Yeshi Choden look after everything from decor, house keeping, kitchen, service. There are nice antique artefacts and furniture. Entire workforce consists of 2 men, (Pasang and his cousin brother) and 14 women which includes Pasang's daughter and nieces. This hotel is highly highly recommend for stay at Lebosa, few km from Punakha. Besides cleanliness which trade mark of Bhutan, you will be struck by their friendly behaviour and ever smiling faces. Great experience.
Excellent service and friendly staff. Nice, big room and a quiet location. Breakfast and dinner we're good with above average food. Can walk down the road to a market area.
love the service and the view of the restaurant
Great staff, great rooms and superb location
Absolutely wonderful! The staff were so friendly. I had a tear in my backpack from trekking with too much camera gear and they sewed it up for me for free. Everyone is so nice and wanting to ensure everyone is comfortable.
Awesome views, great food, and the service from the staff is unsurpassed. Beautiful big rooms with individual wifi connections. And you can feel the protection from the many phallus symbols around the place.
The hotel is situated in a bit remote place by the highway. So I am overlooking some of the downsides, for example, not so good internet, or notable nearby facilities.
Pros:
Best features for me are the spacious rooms and the heavenly morning views of the valley. You can see cloud coming down on the fields.
The actual unforgettable experience was the hospitality of the owners and staffs, which surpassed some of the five star hotels I have stayed in.
There is a bazaar nearby, you can buy local fruits and snacks from there too. 5 minutes walk from the hotel. You can also find cheaper restaurants there.
Cons:
Not gonna hide, the food is overpriced. They offer buffet but with only like 3-4 items, so definitely not going to be suitable for everyone's pallet. Personally, I did not enjoy the food much.
Lots of insects during night time, you have to keep your windows and doors closed.
Toiletries aren't sufficient. Also no hand washer if someone is used to that. No intercom in bathrooms as you may expect.
The rent is not at a fixed rate, you have to bargain for better rates.
Some of the rooms do not have LCD TV screens.
All in all, a nice place to relax on holidays, but not suitable for business trip stays.
Superb food. Great rooms. Great staff and hospitality. Must visit
We were given a 'better' room, but the only good thing about the whole 2 night stay was the fantastic view from the balcony and the very pleasant staff. The shower room had only 2 tiny pieces of soap, no tissues or toiletries. The hanging space was just a rail coming out of the wall about 18 inches long with 4 plastic coat hangers. There were no drawers in the room at all. The food was boring, tasteless and not very warm. Would definitely not recommend.
A small hotel but the best hotel I have ever stayed. Best service and good food. Beautiful view of the valley..
Beautiful property. The view was just breath taking. The owner himself welcomed as in the hotel. He was a very nice man & very keen to share Bhutanese culture with us. Rooms were very spacious, lavish, cozy. Wash rooms was net & clean We had served buffet in every meals. Food was good with some Bhutanese options. Will definitely recommend tourist to have a stay in this hotel
Incredible hotel. Very clean, spacious and with views of the valley. Very kind staff
Such a warm welcome by 10 staff members,a spectacular view from the room and good little add-on in the room. The owner is very understanding and friendly who taught us about Bhutanese culture and the antiques displayed in the hotel.
Very quaint. Excellent rooms. Beautiful balconies with excellent views.
Can improve: only food option here is buffet which is a little heavy on the pocket.
It is a beautiful property. My room is huge with a beautiful view. Since I have just checked in, I will do a review later.
A perfect place to stay, wooden panelled room, wooden floors, hot water bottles to sleep:-D, nice Bhutanese food n nice behaving hotel staff
Awesome food. Out of the world hospitality. Superb luxurious and spacious rooms. Must visit and stay. Highly recommended
Just awesome.one should visit must. mesmerisedahhh..loved itawesome food awesome service lovely decor
Very good hotel and it is close to city. Very good staff. The view from the hotel is wonderful. It covers the hills, farms, mountains, rivers, etc. The theme of the hotel is maintained throughout the hotel making it a different experience. Very good vegetarian food. I wanted to celebrate my parent's anniversary and they had actively supported and made it memorable.
If visiting phunakha then you need to stay in this hotel. Very friendly manager and all the staff have a big smile at any time of the day. Awesome view from every room. Huge rooms with huge bathrooms. Just fantastic.
