Came down while the cruise ship was in and it was alright. They close as soon as the ship leaves so the people on the island were not important to them. Had a hard time getting a drink. Almost a waist of our time until we walked along the beach to a few other places.

I could not believe how beautiful this beach was after leaving our ship, Carnival Sensation. First we found a great cab. He shared some wonderful story as we traveled to the beach. Only wishing we had more time to explore and taste the fruits of the island. He was worth all the tip we could share. He gave us such a rich history.
When we finally reached the beach. It is a public beach. The cost was very affordable. Everything was just incredible. The people of the Ritz were just awesome.
We can not wait to come back and visit again.

The view was great, the water warm, but there was some trash on the beach. Small amounts, yes, but when employees are sitting and doing nothing, it makes you wonder what else is getting passed over.

Instead of paying $79.99 per adult and $59.99 per child to our cruise ship shore excursion to private beach. We Saved $$$ by leaving ship and talking to local vendors. We took taxi here (yes it's Junkanoo Beach Club now) for $14 round trip. Enjoyed entrance to private beach, kayaks, paddle boards, and lounge chairs, clean bathrooms all for $6. Also had beach front bar and grill, local vendors, and beach side tendants and waiters. A+
