It is is a great, spacious area to host a wedding or a party or a reception. I went there for jollification and it was wonderful! You can tell the place is very well taken care of, they have trees labeled and great paths. It is a great outdoors place for any occasion!

Beautiful botanic gardens with a load of Bahamian plants. Events here are great, whilst during the week it is very peaceful

We visited The Retreat as part of a local festival. It's a beautiful densely packed forest with walking paths. The festival booths were all local crafts and foods. It was a great place to get good cheap local food.
