Had an excellent tour bus driver by the name of Martin that explained the history along the way from the Warwick Hotel to the Heritage site. He is was very well knowledged, on time, and even provided complimentary Wi-Fi in the shuttle. He had an amazing personality and made the tour so enjoyable. Upon arrival at Clifton Heritage Park, we were greeted by Vernita who toured us around and explained the history. She was just as lovely, knowledgeable and super eager to answer any questions. We were also provided with a phenomenal turkey dinner which was an amazing way to end the tour by the beach. Highly recommend!

A great beach to do swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, picnic, exploring. The beaches are beautiful and it is connected to Jaws Beach. It is best to bring food and drinks when visiting, there are areas that can be rented. Wonderful beach.

Nice tour of the fort. I would recommend seeing it. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very helpful. Everyone here suggest tipping so we did.

The worst place on Earth. If your black,like racism and being shouted at go to clifton heritage national park. Workers was in the front by the welcome desk. They told us $10.75 plus $10 for the entrance to the park and snorkeling gear.This was also the price that was located on their website.Once we reached the gift shop to pay the Manger of the gift shop tried to charge us $42 instead of the $20.75. After this she started shouting at us about we better pay, when we told her what the other guy said and how it was the $20.75 on the website. I then went to show the price online on my phone and she went to slap my iPhone out of my hand. After this she started saying racist remarks about how she hates when "stick and dirty black people try to come here". Out of the my good caring heart DO NOT GO HERE. BLACK OR WHITE DO NOT GO.

Really nice beach although it could use a lot of TLC.
*New Providence has an extreme litter problem*
As of fall 2017 I have noticed a slight improvement however portions of the park would be considered a Superfund site in the United States.
*A power plant on the south eastern edge of the park is routinely leaking petroleum into the ocean *
For the life of me, I cannot understand how or why this problem exists and why Island residents seem oblivious?
Okay now with that said, the park does have promise.
Located very close to the exclusive "Lyford Cay" and situated along the western shore of New Providence Island.
The beaches here are absolutely stunning and I highly recommend a visit to all photography buffs!
The park also has remnants of a late 1700's plantation as well.
Again, the beach is really the main draw here & whether you are into sunbathing or photography I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed. *snorkeling & swimming can be hit or miss😢 as previously mentioned.
Weekdays are best & depending on the time of year, you may find that you have the park almost entirely to yourself ☺️
**Love Beach 🏖 otherwise know as Nirvana Beach could be a good alternative 👍🏼

There are no doors on the changing rooms. Also poorly organised. It took us 2 hours to do a 40 minute drive. Was petroleum in the water so our snorkeling tour was cut short. This was obviously out of their control and they were very apologetic. The food served was delicious and the beach you eat it on is breathtaking. Over all we found this over priced the the experience

The place was really cool but a little run down. The whole tour was a bit u organized but really co. Everyone was very friendly and laid back. We were the only people on our tour. We did the snorkeling which I highly recommend. The sculpture garden is unique. However, when we got out we had Oil all over from the oil rig next door. The heritage tour was very interesting. It was good to get some local history. Then they took us to a secluded beach for swimming/relaxation and brought us a delicious lunch. . It's nice because they will pick you up from where you are staying and drop you off. I would recommend this, But don't expect anything fancy.

I was there April 6th 2017. The place is a total dump! Do not waste your time going there. Everything is in complete disrepair. Employees just stand around but never make eye contact with you because they don't want you to bother them. There are broken down, abandoned vehicles there, exposed electrical wiring, down fences and signs, buildings that are a shambles and no one appears to be doing anything but standing around. I took my family there for what I thought was going to be a nice park visitI was embarrassed and completely disappointed. All the pictures that you see of the park that look nice must have been taken years ago, the place looks nothing like what you see on the website.My local dump is better kept than this Park. It's really sad, it could really be something nice if it was kept up and maintained. I cannot really put into words how disappointed my family and I were and will never consider going back. If I could give negative stars to this place I would! Please don't make the same mistake I made.

There was hurricane damage when we went so the park wasn't exactly hikeable. You have to pay for everything, whether you want to drive through, walk, swim, or snorkel, with or without gear, with or without hurricane damage. There are prices for everything and the receptionist makes sure you know that. The maps they give out are pixellated black and white photocopies, you'd be better off downloading one online and bringing it in. Overall it seems like a tourist trap/money-making outfit that is badly managed and maintained, which is a shame since they're on a pretty prime chunk of the Nassau coast.

The "park rangers" are random people in their teens/20s milling about and checking if you have paid the appropriate fees. They do not occupy a fixed station so they may be there when you enter, or they may not. Clifton Heritage Park is big on caprice and chance. If you purchase a swim pass, you are not allowed to snorkel, although I have no idea how they would actually police that - they barely have the manpower to set up proper changing rooms or clear the fallen branches from the road and the "parking lots". It is very clear that the staff's focus is on revenue generation, instead of making the park a beautiful, habitable, hikeable place for everyone to enjoy.

That said, it is possible to swim out to the underwater sculpture garden from the beach (a 15 minute swim) and the underwater sculpture garden is quite beautiful! The sunset from Snorkel Beach is also worth the trip. I highly recommend bringing your own gear (life jackets/flippers not necessary) and snorkeling out without a guide. The sculpture garden is marked by buoys and there are usually private charters bringing groups out there to snorkel, so it is easy to spot.

The park is still recovering from a storm. The snorkeling tour and the Slave village tours are interesting and fun. The 4 wheeler ATV tour created a mess, very dirty and dusty, not for me. The employees are excellent. Package included tours, time on the beach, lunch, and taxis. I recommend this, enjoyed it for sure. Once things are back in order, this should be 4 star rating.

We booked an excursion from our cruise ship that was driving us around town then taking us to Clifton. All they talked about was about slavery not ever mentioning the statue or beauty of the beach. This place seems nice, dont book it through the cruise ship.

Recommended to us by our cab driver we took the trip from downtown Nassau. While the distance is great, especially if you going by cab, it is worth all effort. This park, in contrast to the resort beaches, belongs to the locals who painstakingly are working on its development. Once there you're apart from the noise of traffic and crowds surrounded only by nature. We were the only ones on the beach which is as beautiful and pristine as you'd expect. If you choose to do so the park staff will drive you to the beach and bring you home cooked lunch. On site there are historical ruins, snorkeling around one of the largest underwater statue gardens and old holy sites. We saw the park in January and the recent hurricane is still very evident as is the ongoing work. Yet, none of this took away from the peace once you're on the beach.

Nassau is only Good for Souvenirs, get them & then head to the South west part of the Island, to Clifton National Park. Great snorkeling at the Sculpture Garden. Peace & Tranquility from the rest of Nassau. Loved it!!!
