Don’t expect paradise at hideaways. The rooms were decent but the Beach is pretty much non-existent. The rec. equipment was old and thrown all over the beach. The food was overpriced for the quality. The breakfast that’s included was a spread of bagels coffee and fruit. Unfortunately when we were there. the beach was filled with sand fleas and mosquitos.

Great spot to grab a drink and something to eat. Great pizzas. Mahi Mahi sandwich I had was excellent. Service a little slow but it's Bahamas time so relax. Great 10 min. walk from Jolly Hall beach.

No hot water combined with a dated bathroom and room is not good for this kind of money. My advicestay at Sandals Resort down the road. If it's too expensive, go to Dominican Republic or Cancun or save up until you can afford it.

Incredible place to vacation, the service here is so good, you have to eat at splash bar and grill, see Anita every day, have a splash by Anita drink, she is great, as all the girls there, met the owner many times, very nice and everyday man go to jolly beach for sure

Beware! Check your bill carefully. Dishonest owners. Overcharging when checking out for tourist fee and phone calls I never made. They add tourist fee and resort fee that isn't charged by any other resort. Badly managed family business with gates everywhere. Feels like prison, not a resort. Go to exuma Beach and Augusta Bay just next door. They have beautiful pools and are professionally managed.

If you are looking for a peaceful resort with beautifully renovated rooms/villas/cottages, amazing ocean views, as well as a gorgeous white sand beach to relax on look no further!

My husband and I recently returned home from our trip to Exuma and our stay at Hideaways was so pleasant and enjoyable, it had us considering purchasing a unit from them for us to return to over and over. The resort management is wonderful and very accommodating. The beach was phenomenal, and the pool side bar and grill (Splash!) had delicious food and generous drinks. Our expectations were far exceeded and we couldn't have asked for more from Hideaways. All in all, we would highly recommend Hideaways to any of our friends and family, as well as those considering a trip to Exuma! You will not be disappointed!

Recently spent a long weekend in Great Exuma for the first time and stayed at the Hideaways. I enjoyed staying there. My mother and I shared a room that had a gorgeous view of the beach. Our room was very nice- kitchenette with a fridge and freezer, large bathroom, and it was quite spacious. We had a little patio with tables and chairs and could sit outside and enjoy the view. The pool area is nice. There are plenty of lounge chairs and beach chairs available. There is an area from the pool where you can walk right out onto the beach. My biggest complaint would be that there is no where to was your sandy feet off at when returning back to the pool area. Also we were issued a towel and had to keep the same towel for our entire stay. Im sure they would've given us another had we asked. The restaurant/bar located at the Hideaways was decent. Neither of us are big fans of seafood and there were plenty of options for us there. It is a bit pricey but so is everything else on an island. The Hideaways offers a free breakfast which is just bagels, toast, cereal, some fruit and yogurt. I wasn't impressed but they do offer an upgrade for $5 that we didnt opt for. It was just a basic "free hotel breakfast". All the staff was very friendly and helpful with helping us get around the island. I would definitely go back and stay at the Hideaways again.

We loved Hideaways and will be back! Great service and very attentive staff. The units where stocked with everything we needed. The shuttle to town was helpful with getting to the dock, market and shopping. We love Anita at Splash. Thank you for a great vacation!

Not a great place to stay. The hotel gets one star because their charges were multi-tiered, and deceptive, the housekeeping was spotty aswell as the amenities. They get zero stars because male staff used the master key to enter my room without knocking. And, when there was no internet I was told that it was not guaranteed, but it is listed as a free service. They get two stars for the beauty of the location. Overall, way overpriced for what you get.
