Love love love, amazing cave, loved it!
Awesome place, so big
About 300 meters, do it!
The cave channels are really deep but the graffiti is a little unsightly. Do carry a lamp if you plan to venture deep.
I like caves so this is a must see. Flash lights are a must.
Very unique adventure. Make sure to wear the proper shoes and have a flashlight handy. Because you wont be able to see without one.
We hitched a ride from Alice Town and were dropped off at the beginning of the dirt road in. The sign is no longer there. There is a sign near the entrance. We explored levels one and two. There were a couple of places where we had to crouch down to pass but it was mostly plenty spacious to walk upright.
The rooms and tunnels are huge. We saw no bats. Sadly there is graffiti throughout the cave but it is still fascinating.
The ladder to level two was sturdy and easy enough to climb down for a reasonably fit person. The ladder to level three lead down into water and should only be explored by experienced spelunkers and cave divers or with a guide.
The exit is achieved by climbing a vertical rope ladder. It goes straight up out of the hole with some brush and another rope at the top. It takes a bit of strength and nerve to do it. Then there is a path leading back to the cave entrance.
It was a unique experience and by far the most out-of-my-comfort-zone cave exploration I have done. The only negative comment is how much damage people have done to this natural marvel.
