Great place to stay with friendly staff. This hotel is perfect if your taking a cruise from Nassau. The beach was small but beautiful. It was very close to the port so I probably would not pick this place for a week vacation. They had some really comfy day beds by the pool we enjoyed. When planning your stay remember to consider "island time." If this is an issue for you, McDonald is across the street.

Great resort property in the heart of downtown Nassau , they offer water sports and a great restaurant options. The property is super safe with room access elevator key scanning . Additionally you can order in room massages by Oil'D Hans an excellent mobile massage service . The only issue i saw was air conditioning for a bit of the morning possibly a malfunction. Aside from that they are a great choice.

Room could be a little cleaner. The safe in the closet did not work. This is my second stay and this is the second room that the safe did not work. Housecleaning left an empty complimentary lotion in the bathroom instead of replacing it with a full bottle.
Staff was super friendly and accommodating.
Breakfast was really good.
Desert was really good.
Beach and Pool is really nice.

Had a great experience here! Staff were very kind and friendly. The beach and pool in the back were a huge bonus and a great place to relax at the end of the day after going out to adventures. They put out some tiki lamps as well once it started getting dark. Everything was clean and well kept.

Noisy locality. Open air night club next door pumping out 1000s of watts of bass which permeates through building and ear plugs.
Great shame as the hotel would be lovely if it wasn't for the fact that you cannot get to sleep until 4am.
Second stay was better. I was given a room in the western wing of the hotel overlooking the garden. Much less noise and a good night's sleep was achieved.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Beautiful grounds with private beach. Within walking distance of many tourist attractions. Going through some exterior renovations, but rooms could use updating too

Enjoyed my time at the British Colonial Hilton. It is a beautiful historic hotel and was featured in the 1983 unofficial James Bond film Never Say Never Again. The hotel has a great amount of history. It has a private beach and is right next to the main downtown area of Nassau.

Biggest positive is the staffthey were all very friendly and helpful. I stay in hotels over 200 nights annually and have for over 15 yearsand this hotel while trying to look regal, is looking tired. But that is typical for any hotel that isn't brand new in the Bahamas. There were plenty of places in the room that needed painted, repaired, or refurnished. But again, typical for the Bahamas where the constant humidity works against wood, metal, and paint. The room was fine, but not all rooms have picturesque views. Dining room food was very good. All around reviewit's a good hotel, good food, great staff which makes it easy to overlook the needed maintenance.

This hotel has an amazing historical feel to it. Rooms need updating but with the new hotel being built next door that will transform these facilities into a marina and shopping area, it will certainly upgrade this historical landmark. Staff very helpful and extremely friendly. Beautiful mature garden with heated outdoor pool, private beach, deck chairs and some of the most relaxing hammocks scattered around the lush garden, spoil guests for relaxation options. Well equipped gym and lively bar. Very central, right at the heart of the buzzing streets offering one perfect place to stay. Cruise passengers can buy a day pass to use the hotel garden and pool for a fee.

Been to Nassau many times and always been staying at this hotel. Clean hotel, private beach with quiet rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Being a diamond member, you get access to the executive lounge where you have happy hours from 5pm to 7pm daily. Walking distance to great restaurants.

This place is historical, beautiful inside and out and just a relaxing place to stay. We are so happy we chose to stay here. It has it's own private beach and is close to everything. You couldn't ask for anything more!

Wonderful.
Our room was great.
Whirlpool tub absolutely clean.
Shower with beautiful tile and clean clear shower door..
Access to executive lounge and rooftop with great views.

Went here through resort for a day while we were in port on a cruise. Absolutely beautiful!! When they say private beach they really mean it. Omar our waiter was on top of everything and provided A++ service. I would definitely go here again.

Bought the day pass option here. Beach was clean towels are clean great service from our waiter always asked us what we wanted. Drinks were moderately priced good food was fresh and made-to-order

We paid to do the beach/pool day pass here when our cruise ship (Oasis of the Seas) was docked in Nassau last week. Not only is the property BEAUTIFUL but the staff was top notch. It was easy to get beach chairs right up near the water. Leonardo was the BEST server. He was quick getting us drinks and enjoyable to chat with. My family utilized the food/bev portion of the package and were very pleased with everything. I will dream about that lobster - shout out to the grill master! Thanks so much for having us. We will return on our next trip to Nassau.

The pictures of the hotel rooms are so misleading. They were so small, and outdated. Our room was clean but of coarse we tipped everyday. The shower leaked and bathtub had rust on it There was an awful smell in the hallway the entire time we were there. The carpets had stains on them and weren't vacuumed. This was just the hallway. I could've over looked all of this but the way we were treated was unbelievable. The staff was so unfriendly and rude. The breakfast buffet costed us $52 per couple every morning. The food was good but the service was unreal. I asked for a cup of ice and the waitress rolled her eyes at me and walked away 10 minutes later when she returned she put the glass down I thanked her and she just walked away. Take my advice and go to paradise side.

Good for the one night stay before the rental house opened. If you are used to space get a suite. Regular rooms are kinda jail cell like. Great customer service, beautiful grounds and lobby, great gym if you can workout after drinking😊

Nice resort on the beach.We arrived on a cruise ship and spent the day here at the beach. Easy walk from the port. Bar service was fine with tasty drinks. Food menu needs some work. No small dishes. Can't even order just a side dish. Staff was friendly.

Having been to this property previously my expectations were set high.once again Hilton stood by their brand. What a great experience Hilton Properties offers and delivers.that's why I vacation only with Hilton. Rooms are great.beaches are cleanstaff very accommodating. Thumbs up Hilton!

If I could give this hotel less than one star I would. We arrived at noon which is 4 hrs before check in, the front desk told us they would get our room cleaned earlier than 4PM, great! Didn't happen. We came to check up on our room and a woman told me to stop showing up because I was wasting my time. The pool closes at 5 PM. No one ever answers the phone. They had a massive graduation party that lasted until midnight that was so loud we couldn't sleep. Our Tvs weren't working. To top it off the outside door had a hole in the bottom, the maintenance man informed me only "small snakes and lizards" could get in. No biggie! Don't waste your money.

We got a day pass from Resort for a Day as part of our cruise the Hilton was the PERFECT place to just relax & unwind with private beach and pool access. Laying out in a hammock was so comfortable while my girlfriend opted for a cozy covered cabana. The place wasn't crowded at allthere were maybe 25-30 people around the pool & bar area but the pool never had more than 8 people in it and it was plenty big. Great service from the bar staff!

Wow is this expensive! It's a very nice hotel, with great resort amenities, but the actual rooms are needing some maintenence. Expect extra charges for all kinds of fees. A round of three drinks in the bar was $42. The service is very good, friendly staff.

Purchased a day pass for a cruise ship port day. Nice facilities, relaxing areas. Beach is small but the free kayak use was great. Was not crowded the day I was there. Short walk from the cruise pier.

The hotel itself is gorgeous. The staff is very friendly and the rooms we're fairly modern and very clean. The location is amazing as far as being centralized in Nassau. Senor Frog's is literally next door, maybe even on property. The Straw Market is about 2 blocks away. The "Fish Fry" is about a 15-minute walk. There is a fort within about a 10-minute walk as well. The hotels private beach is gorgeous, however the giant cruise ships and other industrial type things in the view do take a little bit away from it. Also, they charge a resort fee per person which I'm not used to. Maybe every Hotel/Resort does that, but I've never noticed a per person charge. If it wasn't for that "extra" resort fee and the semi-industrial feeling beach, I'd have given it 5 stars. Regardless of those two things it is certainly well worth staying at.

Absolutely my favorite hotel in Nassau! The service is great, and the atmosphere here is nice. The best thing is convenience. McDonald's is right at the gate, and the great Chinese restaurant Summer Palace is next to the hotel. Paradise island is right across the hotel, we can even see the view from the hotel. It's such a good choice for us to live here this time. I will definitely choose this hotel if I come to Nassau next time!

We visited Nassau on a recent cruise and found a day-pass at the hotel through an online website. It was a short 10 minute walk from the cruise port. Upon arrival, the front desk greeted us warmly and were well aware of the day pass. After finalizing payment, we received wrist bands, towel cards, and food/drink credit vouchers. After a short walk to the beach area, we were greeted by a server who took our food/drink credit and name, and received our towels without incident from the towel hut.

For the day pass, the hotel offers a small private beach front, plenty of lounge chairs, waiter service, a large pool, basketball court, indoor (clean) bathrooms, an outside dining area, and a roped off area for swimming / snorkeling / Kayaking (all included).

Our waiter was attentive and did a very nice job at ensuring we had everything we needed, they even provided us with the wifi code so we could call home.

The snorkeling was excellent with sightings of starfish, angel fish, a long nose gar and even a lion fish. There were maybe a total of 30 people on the beach front and around the pool area and it did not feel crowded in the least.

A definite visit if you are just looking to relax and enjoy the day in Nassau!
