Great hotel, right next to the beach. They speak Portuguese (obviously), Spanish, and English. Despite it being kinda small, it is such a great hotel.

A good hotel in Copacabana with an international standard. Room are small but enough for a 4 days stay. People is quite friendly. Breakfast is fine but not outstanding.

Extremely unprofessional and discriminating service! Me and my boyfriend went to the reception to ask if we could take a drink in the roof top bar since we were not staying at the hotel. Two receptionists approved but after we got our drinks a guy came to us and in a rude way said that we had to leave. If they were professional they would simple had admitted that it was their mistake to let “non guests” up to the bar but letted us finish our drinks! For me it was very clear that this would not have happened if my boyfriend had the same skin colour like me and all the other guests. The way they were talking to us made it very clear that this was racism. For example they did not talk to him at first and asked to talk to “the blond girl”.

I came to Rio for the Rock in Rio and I chose Astoria Palace due to its amazing location and appealing price. The bedroom is great and there is plenty of space to store items without the room being crowded. The bathroom is also great, with outlets 100v e 220v. My only complaint is the toilette paper that isn't of great quality. I've ordered room service, which came in very quickly, but the dessert I ordered wasn't exactly amazing. Not bad, just not amazing. The breakfast, however, it's a show own its on. There are plenty of fruits, breads, cakes and even Nutella to go with the waffles. Overall, great experience with amazing staff.

Location is great, just across from Copacabana beach. The rooms were clean, high quality, and the cleaning service was spotless. Overall a great stay.

really really decent hotel especially considering its prime location and it's low prices. the staff aren't the friendliest or most helpful (oftentimes borderline rude to be honest). The breakfast was pretty standard. it was nice. the fruits they offered were fresh and great. these beach side hotels are right next to the beach and offer a good view however they are also right next to a massive 8+ lane road that is literally full of traffic at all hours of the day and night. it's really really loud. all the cars and stuff. closing the windows provides a decent amount of noise cancellation. you won't be hearing the sound of the ocean at night thats for sure. the rooftop pool cannot be considered a pool. it's a bloody fountain installment. it's so tiny like a bath tub. however, the rooftop area is amazing. the views from here are insane. lots of area to sit, good atmosphere. good view of the mountains behind and the beach in front. do not eat at the Italian restaurant directly below the hotel. it is overpriced, does not taste that good and also has rude staff.

Fair prices, appropriate rooms. Great view from the rooftop. The rooftop bar is ugly and its service very mediocre, but it's nice to have a drink and enjoy the view anyway. The rooftop pool is more of a bigger bathtub, but pleasant, although we never saw anyone using it.
    Breakfast buffet was appropriate.
