Nice service, but old building with old furniture. Restrooms are tiny!
Was there before it was the Pullman so not sure if anything changed. Location is nice unless you want to be close to Copacabana. Rooms were a bit old fashion.
Best thing is location and views, the rest so so, not up to the category. The hotel is getting too old and needs an urgent renovation.
Great hotel, very clean and beautiful. Nice view of the sea.
The hotel is absolutely incredible! The staff is very caring and professional. The food is the best I've ever had. I am enchanted.
The Royal Tulip Rio São Conrado is a great hotel. Quick access to the Beach, friendly staff and great outdoor pool. Will recommend.
Very nice room for the event. Good acoustics. Beautiful girls everywhere.
The hotel is close enough to the subway. I was in a professional event and the bathroom was clean, all very nice. Food service was not enough and too pricy.
Location is not great for night life or leaving the hotel; but the hotel was very nice and worked well for us that where there for a conference nearby.
Amaizing views from the room
The bathroom could use some updating.
It's a good place for conventions, although facilities could be better.
The hotel is decent for a business trip.
the power stopped during the shower. and then the water stopped also during the shower. and yellow dirty water came out. what a horrible experience!!! And i called front desk and the staff said "it's normal. Thank you" and hung up. Since when?!! the black out, water stop, yellow dirty water are "Normal" in 5 star hotel? the worst customer service i've ever had. you coulde be better than that. it's not that hard to say "i'm sorry" as a representative of the hotel. that's your job. omg! the black out again!!! Is this hotel really "Royal Tulip"??? 별주기도 아까움. 한개는 무슨
They claim to be a luxury hotel, which may seem correct from the outside. But this location is impossible to get to for cabs and ubers, so you will wait for 30 to 60 minutes every time. Also the rooms apparently have terrible air conditioning problems: my room hovered at 26 degrees C the entire time. The managers are good to try to help, but the front desk staff are snooty and generally non responsive. They are very understaffed and the check in process take upwards to 40 minutes. The taxi service out front made fun of me to me face after I balked at their ridiculous rates.
I do not recommend this place. Luckily the manager staff at least worked with me on a refund for my torturous stay. This hotel nearly wrecked my new years.
For European or North American standards sadly this would not be considered a 5 star hotel. For $1000 a night we expected better for sure!
The room cleaning service is appalling. Some days the room is cleaned, others it is not. Some days they just take your bathroom towels away and forget to replace them (even though I always hang them up because I want reuse them to help with water consumption). Some days they give you new soap when it has been used, others they don't It is all totally arbitrary.
The shower curtain is also completely black at the bottom it looks like it hasn't been changed for years.
Also the amenities might be shut for no reason. The gym might be open or they might decide not to open it for a few days or have it open much later than usual. Same with the pool and other amenities.
Also the room phone was not working.
You live with the uncertainty that things might just change with no warning.
It is not a hotel you feel safe because things are not done properly and by the book.
Definitely not a hotel I would recommend to anyone! Rio is spectacular, the Brazilians are so welcoming and full of joy & life so they deserve better representation than this hotel.
