Pretty basic amenities. Like many Rio hotels, maintenance is pretty poor. But on the positive side, the room on the 5th floor was quiet most evenings and so I rate it better than other options in the street.

Charming hotel in art deco style. Lots of original decorative elements. Located in a residential area with shops and restaurants only a few footsteps away. Pleasant trealined streets. Recommended for travellers with cultural luggage. More art deco edifices in this area. From some rooms, you have an exlusive view on the garden of the 1937 art deco Edifício Biarritz by Henri Sajous. Very good price for solo travellers. Rooms are simple. Absolutely safe area. Fast internet, not included in the price of your room. Rooms on the 7th floor suffer a bit from the noise of the elevator.
