This hotel was a huge disappointment.
There was no hot water at all, the wifi was existent but non working whatsoever and the room was absolutely freezing cold (I could see my breath). When we asked for extra blankets they were rude and yelled at us and when we stayed for two nights there was no room attendant between days to clean the room. I understand it is a family run establishment but they had 3-4 children running around playing right outside our door all day and night. For about 12 hours straight. We had some friends visit us for the evening and they complained and kicked them out even though they just visited for an hour and they didn't notify us of this policy when we arrived they just yelled at us when our friends were visiting. No towels were provided and we had a fireplace in our room which seemed good but we weren't allowed to use it which was frustrating because we were freezing the whole time. It was warmer outside than in the room which is more like a dark dungeon. Overall the room was not at all what was advertised. We didn't bother eating their breakfast because it looked like food poisoning about to happen and there was no place to so sit because it's just a few tables right in the small lobby and most of the space is taken by the owners children. We felt that this place was not worth the stay. You can find many other better options in Copacabana for the same price and are treated much better. Avoid staying at this place at all costs!!!!!!! If we had paid $15 or even $25 for a room this would be a 3 or 4 star review. Unfortunately the rates charged by this hostel are extortionate. We paid $45 for a double room, which in Bolivia would get you a top 5 star hotel room.
Due to the fact we paid so much, we expected everything to be perfect and unfortunately it was far from it. The room itself was beautiful and very spacious. Unfortunately the shower does not have hot water. If you turn the shower to a trickle, you can get hot water but you can't shower in it. This means you're paying $45 for a cold shower. We also had no WiFi working for more than half of our stay, which again is unacceptable when paying so much.
We were also made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable when we asked to keep our bags stored there after check out. This is standard in a hostel and was very strange.
Overall I would highly recommend staying elsewhere. Hostels which are a 2 minute walk away have private rooms for $10 a night and have hot water.response / report this review -

La calidez de don Cristóbal y su familia es única. Es a muy buen precio e incluye desayuno casero con jugo de naranja recién exprimido. Que más le puede pedir una a la fortuna?

Rooms not are good, very humid and not clean. In addition the water is cold whereas the boss said that there was hot water.
At the end, be carefull because the boss tries to rent his rooms with a price which is very expensive.response / report this review
