Odd place to visit. You can not drive closer than about 800m from the visitor centre and the site, so you need to park by the side of the road and walk along a path next to a canal. Before we set off on the walk, we glanced up at the signpost on the side of the road informing us that we needed to drive to the nearby town and purchase tickets beforehand!! We didn't bother, just continued to walk down to the site. We also didn't bother with the visitor centre as it looked closed and just wandered straight to the old church. There was no one around to collect these tickets that we thankfully didn't go out of our way to go and collect in the first place. Strange way to run a tourist attractions IMO. Must have spent plenty of money and then the project died, or moved onto something else.
Very peaceful place. Short drive from Plovdiv and beautiful mountain views. Road to get there is not the best, but definitely worth it! I fully recommend visiting it!
Много интересен обект с необикновена атмосфераудобна пешеходна алея за разходка от главния път до обекта

Super, excellent
From these ruins you can tell the original beauty of a Roman building, first used as thermae and then adjusted to be a church. Some wall-paintings still can be seen, on several layers. No parking place, though.
