Amazing hostel! Best staff I've met so far. Free breakfastbuffet, vegetarian dinner and a really lively common room. And don't forget about free coffee (all day). Location was fine and the room was clean with a comfy bed. Recommend staying here if your in Sofia.

It could be 5 star if they say you before Booking that you could be placed far from the hostel.

There might be another bathroom needed or a sink in the second toilet.
Dinner was much more than I expected and breakfast was also very rich and nice. I liked that there is something for everybody.

Really friendly staff, well organised and clean. Never any queues for the shared main showers or toilets and having a shower and sink in the dorm rooms was convenient. Small shelf, plug socket and light as well as privacy curtains in the dorm rooms was a plus too. You can't drink or be loud in the common area after 10pm. Some may see that as a negative but there is a free bar crawl every night starting atyou guessed it10pm. Free breakfast and dinner included with your stayNothing exciting though

Authentic hostel experience, amazing price, great staff, good rooms. They offer day trips to the Rila monastery for 30-40 LEV which is a cool thing to check out. They include breakfast/dinner/beer everyday with the price of your room which is ridiculously cheap. Free pub crawls every night & drop off's for the free walking tours. Would definitely recommend.

Liked the place, bed was great, but our living room was just by a room that had thin glass windows, so there was nowhere we could stay and talk without waking the room. Also I booked in euros, reserved the right amount, when paying they only accept the local currency, had to withdraw and exchange to pay. Other than that still pretty good place, probably would stay again.

Stan's personality and charisma blew us away, really nice fella. But honestly a great hostel with good free food as well. Wouldn't recommend anywhere else in Sofia.

Great hostel with great atmosphere and really friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner included in price which saved lots of money. Great place to meet fellow travellers. Stayed in both a private room and a dorm room and both were excellent. Great location right in the middle of town; some rooms where separate from the main hostel but not more than 5 minutes walk away. Really friendly staff.

very nice hostel.
The perfect place to meet some new people. They can host over 160 travelers.
It's recommended to make a reservation in advanced cause when I was there they were fully booked.

Great place if you want to meet fellow travelers. Hostel mostel offers nice rooms for a good price. The beds are good and there is a big kitchen. Breakfast and dinner are provided every day and are nice. Located in the city center of Sofia, which makes it one of the best places to stay in the city.

I can recommend Hostel Mostel for any Backpacker and also for small groups. The lobby offers a lot of space to relax, eat/drink and commucate with others. The rooms are simple but everything is clean and you'll find all you need. The staff member provide a great service, offering free city sightseeing tours, pub crawls and a map of Sofia with their favorite locations and must-sees. All in all it was a great experience staying at Hostel Mostel

One of the best hostels I've been to ever since the first moment we got there! :-) Especially nice are breakfasts and dinners included in the room price when you stay for more than one day. Staff is super cool and very helpful with getting to know more about the city Nothing we could we ask more ^_^

I stayed here for one night and had an enjoyable experience. Dinner and breakfast were provided for free, and a lot of the other guests had a great time with our 1-year-old boy. I don't think too many other families stay here, but that seems pretty typical with most hostels. We stayed in a separate apartment that's a short walk away from the check-in desk. Although not super convenient, we were very aware of the arrangement before booking and we had a comfortable stay overall. The heater in our room stopped working while we were there and they quickly came and replaced it. I'd happily recommend it for a cheap place to stay in Sofia :)

Pictures of the room and the room given are totally different. Location is also different 15 minutes away from the main building. Breakfast - really cheap and disgusting.Do not be fooled by those cheaters. Really poor and dirty facilities and rooms, Having said that, in trying to deal with a certain issue they seemed unable to. At first, I was placed in a single room where the walls were covered in some sort of yellow liquid. As always, I checked around the bed for bed bugs and the walls for mould (allergies) and found some dead bugs on the side of the bed as well as mould behind the heater. I asked for my room to be changed because of the mould and was told "Oh, that's just some fluid someone spilled on the wall." Afterwards, I was taken to a somewhat "better" room, no fluid on the walls this time, but some sort of greasy leftovers on the curtain. The bathrooms were disgusting
