No hot water. AC is terrible. Made did not refill empty soaps and fresh towels. Location is good.
Amazing staff. Their customer service is at the highest level. They went out of their way to help us with everything that we needed. We arrived late and didn't have any bulgarian levs; one of the employees went out to the exchange place to exchange the money for us. I will definitely visit again when in Sofia.
Really convenient to move to tourist spot~*
Cozy and nice view room☆
A decent place to stay in Sofia. Prices are adequate, rooms are spacious and well equiped. Wifi is fast, stable and reliable. Locations itselfmis advantage though parking is nightmare. And breakfast leaves something to be desired.
Sits right next to the park. Very convenient to the pedestrian walkway, shops and outdoor cafes. Friendly staff and good restaurant with very reasonable prices. The room was very nice.
Good Hotel Central like the Name is
We had our wedding party at Restaurant 106 in Central Park Hotel in September 2016. In general, we are happy with our choice, although there were some minor concerns (no place is perfect, after all). Nevertheless, if we were to choose a wedding venue again, without doubt we would have stuck to the Central Park hotel.
About the room: as part of the hotel's wedding offer, we got a complimentary night at a Corner Deluxe room. This room was clean and spacious and we had a really amazing view over the National Palace of Culture (great location for tourists). We did not have the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the room (which is part of the wedding offer), but we wouldn't have drunk it anyways.
Room service: we ordered ham and eggs, but they were cold by the time they were brought to the room. We also had a sandwich, which was fine. Coffee was acceptable. Juice: I would recommend the bottle from the minibar ("Cappy") rather than the one from room service (the price is the same, I think). Newlyweds, beware the room service was not free (as mentioned in the wedding package).
Welcome Drink: the cost per person as per the wedding package is for Bulgarian sparkling wine (“Hottinger - Lyubimec Bulgaria”), which, I believe, is not in the usual wine list of the restaurant. If you would like a wine from the ones they have in the menu, then the price of the Welcome drink goes up a bit (Sales will tell you which wines they can offer you).
Wedding at the restaurant: We loved the atmosphere and we had a really great time there!
I recommend it for weddings of no more than 80 people. The fewer the better maybe, because that way people at the corner tables would have more space. We were 80 and I think the waiters (I think they were 2, plus one person behind the bar) were struggling at times to serve all guests with the same quality. When we went round the tables for a "cheers" with all guests, there were two tables at which the glasses of the guests were empty, unfortunately. Therefore, I recommend having bottles of alcohol on each table (so that people can serve themselves) rather than two 'stations' with alcohol (which was the case at our wedding), which may lead to thirsty guests at times.
In general, the restaurant staff were very kind and to the best of my knowledge there have been no problems with them at all. On the contrary, I think/hope we got all our needs on the day fulfilled by them, so I thank them for the hard work! :)
Food: The Assorted salad was great! Our appetizer was Terrine of cheese, zucchini and roasted peppers, which was great, too, especially with the bread (which is not mentioned in the wedding package, but you will get it). Our main dish was Chicken fillet with foie gras with potato gratin and steamed carrots. It was really tasty during the food tasting, but I personally did not try it at the wedding, so I cannot say whether quality was the same when cooked for 80 people as it was for two at the tasting. Someone told me they found the carrots undercooked. I had the vegetarian option- tagliatelle with mushrooms, which was nice.
Our guests loved the “Raffaello” wedding cake! We wanted each guest to have a separate mini cake (without fondant), which we got for additional 2 BGN per guest (worth it, in my opinion).
Our communication with the Sales team was quite extensive in the months before the wedding, so the only surprise shortly before the wedding (about a week or two before the event) was that there were two prices for the Welcome drink. In general, we received a positive (and timely) answer from Sales to all (or most of) our asks.
To sum up, we are grateful to the restaurant staff and if we were choosing a wedding venue again, with our current experience, we would choose Restaurant 106 again!
The staff are really nice here and speak good english. The rooms good and have enjoyed my stays.
Decent place.. The uncleaned carpets did not help my allergies at all though!
Decent hotel in a central location. Bath had a leak. Air-conditioning works really well!
