  Church per se is not a must, but the bars around yes. Charlatan and company are the nights life after 24h00.

  Another beautiful church in Gent but Sint-Jacobkerk is not open everyday (due to maintenance cost maybe). I usually go there on Friday morning. There are some volunteers that always help you to explain about history of the church.

  I was unable to visit this church as it was closed, I went at 2pm on a Tuesday. This church may only be open on Sundays for worship. There wasn't a sign noting when it is open.
