Been many, many times to Bruges, always find something we haven't done, this time the Basilica, amazing, workmanship and dedication are very special, another must see.

To see the holy blood, you should be there in specific time when church demonstrates it. We saw it around 14. There is a short queue for it as it is shown in the picture.
The holy boold is inside a glass box and you may touch the box for seconds and pray. It is done 1 by 1 in a raw.
No entrance fee and no compulsion to pay donations.

There are quite a few stories of this place. However that is or may be - it's worth visiting. It's very beautiful inside, soothing and majestic.

We came here for a mass on Sunday at 11:00 and there was a quire from England visiting and it was something special. The church itself is beautiful and worth a visit. The church contains the relic of the blood of Christ. The priest gets angry if you try to sneak in a picture of the relic.

Tucked away in a corner, what an amazing building inside! Downstairs it's very medieval and upstairs it's very ornate. I'm not religious but felt the process of the Holy Blood being presented was very impressive. Despite what other reviews say they don't make you pay, they ask for donations as they are a church, not a business and do not charge entry. You can still enter and spend time 1 on 1 with the holy blood without spending a thing.

Beautiful church and it was incredible to be close of Jesus's clothes. True or not we never gonna know, but it's an incredible reliquary from so many years ago. Make sure you go on the time they demonstrate the blood.
