  I've added a picture of a plaque on the side of the hotel. This commemorates the hotel being used by the Resistance during WWII to hide Allied Airmen until they could be repatriated.
  
  I didn't stay at the hotel, but the Brasserie was very good.

  Stayed last year.
  Yes the rooms were dated and tired but our one was clean and warm.
  I did mention this to the manager and he explained that he was awaiting a refurbishment. We found the staff to be helpful and quite willing to please.
  The breakfast was more than adequate. It was plentiful and the selection was good.
  
  We've booked again for Oct 17 and have no worries as to the service that we will get.

  First class location for visiting Ypres. Directly opposite the Flanders Field Museum & Cloth Hall. Needs redecorated inside as its a bit dated.
