Absolutely sobering experience. Such an emotional place to be. Thank you to the people of Belgium for looking after our lost boys with the most respect possible.

My grandfather is buried here. He served with the 2/4th Northumberland Fusiliers and died on 26th October 1917 in the second battle of Passchendaele. The cemetery is beautifully kept and the stonework is continually being renewed. Over 80% of the 7500 buried here are unidentified. Very sad.
