A beautiful and peaceful cemetery reminding future generations of the vast sacrifices made on our behalf by our forefathers. It will be one of the focuses of the Centenary Commemorations for Passchendaele 100.
I am so glad I visited here with my son. It is a sobering reminder of the innocent who fell on both sides. I will remember this place forever.
Beautiful spot.
It is very sad to see that a great majority of the Australian soldiers buried here were unknown soldiers, 'known unto God' only. While their names are etched in stone elsewhere, their bones lie at rest here, anonymous. Brave sons of Australia, you are remembered! Lest we forget.
Very moving. A lot quieter than Tyne Cot so more poignant. A place of quiet for those that populated it in such noise.
