A waiter accidentally splashed our clothing with sauce the minute we sat down, stains won't come out and we'll have to buy new clothes. One of the maitre'ds offered to give us the dinner for free in compensation. We accepted and stayed. They gave us a glass of champagne. Had dinner, less than average pizza, tiramisu was the only memorable thing of the dinner. When leaving we had to pay for the meal, the same maitre'd denied offering us a free dinner, saying he only could offer us champagne. Bottom line: I ruined one of my best shirts for a mediocre, expensive dinner.
Update post owner answer: the maitre'd told us " let me invite you the dinner". Even if French if your native language, and not English, dinner means dinner. You changed us to a different table because WE ASKED for it, and your first intention was to change us to the table next to us, which was even more stained with sauce. "Cleaned you add best as we could" means rubbed our clothes with a hot wet cloth. I'm clearly not threatening you with a bad review for the dinner money, I'm just sharing my experience at your restaurant, which I am entitled to. It was an accident and you apologized many times, but you offered something and then plain denied it, and that is what earned you this review, plus telling things like "we changed your table", as if you had done us a favor when it was us who had to ask for it.
ANNOYED! One waiter dropped a bowl with tomato sauce and ruined our two shirts. The manager offered us the dinner for free to compensate the accident. When it was time to leave, they neglected to admit they had offer that and made us pay. Shame. Never coming again.
The food is ok and the service is nice.
Ah no place like Al Piccolo Mondo!! My Grandparents have been coming to this restaurant from Antwerpen since the 1980s! No wonder they did because the food is totally divine, truly Italian and very traditional, the staff is warm and caring, Aldo is a gentleman and the atmosphere is cosy, and very European! Pizzas are marvelous, Pastas are excellent, and Tiramisu is divine. Hugely recommend. Prices are very reasonable for such great food. I personally have been to many Michelin-starred restaurants but nothing is comparable to such a home-y and warm experience like yours. I am very sad to see peoples bad reviews, they are obviously insane. I really hope the business will bring many years more of success! -N
I've been going there since I was born and I absolutely love it. Old-fashioned Italian restaurant, hasn't changed in 40 years I've been told, friendly staff, delicious food and wines. I'll keep going there forever.
Nice restaurant but they doesn't gave me the wifi!!
Good but pricy
I know this place since the former Owner (Aldo) this place became a Italian Restaurant for Tourist. They have a correct menu and the service is okay.
Portion of pasta were not that great, wine is expensivebut not bad and honestly, service was nice.
Pizza is my favourite food and this is by far the best pizza i have ever had!!! Pasta portion size very generous and delicious. Service was excellent and very good value for money. I will definitely be visiting Al Piccolo Mondo again on our next visit Brussels.
Nice place for a good meal. We had a table for two, but we could as well have shared a large table with a couple of strangers because u are so close you can't move in between. The food was nice, pizza's were definately fresh. Prices are a bit high.
