My university. I had been there for 5 year. It a fully nature touching university. 26000+ student study here and 15 student hall 5000+ teacher and staf. Amazing environment without any kind of noise and air pollution. A lot of play ground and pounds with green Hart touching grass.

It is one of the best and well organized educational institutions o f the country providing education to a huge number of students being admitted every year. It has one of the outstanding campus for an educational institution and a lot to see. History holds the pride of this place and city. The campus is well maintained and well preserved. It’s safety is ensured by the government and overall the place deserves a 5 Star. It’s worth visiting this place. With a huge variation of students the institution proceeds toward the future. University of Rajshahi or Rajshahi University is a public university located in Rajshahi, University of Rajshahi was established in 1953, the second university to be established in what was then East Pakistan।The university’s forty-seven departments are organized into nine faculties. Rajshahi University is located in a 753 acres (3 km2) campus in Motihar, 3 kilometres (2 mi) from the Rajshahi city center. With 25,000 students and close to 1000 academic staff, it is one of the largest universities in Bangladesh. In addition to hosting programs in the Engineering, arts, sciences,agriculture, social sciences, business studies and medical sciences, the university houses a number of institutes of higher studies. This is the premier university in Bangladesh to have online subscription of world renowned journals. The first proposal to establish a university came in 1917, when Calcutta University created the Sadler Commission to assess the university system in Bengal. However, the recommendations of the report had no immediate consequences.
After reaching at Rajshahi city, take rickshaw to reach this university.
It is approximately 261 km away from Dhaka. Bus, Train and Air Plane are available as transportation service from and to Rajshahi districts..

An elaborate chance of making a group of heart warming friends and well wishers.

I don't want to count exceptions as examples of a famous institution. But I can dare to share the meanness of some guys and girls. We expect, higher education makes our mind broader!!

There are number of cultural and education organizations really praiseworthy!! I would rather say, visit the campus during any occasions!! I am not taking the responsibility of experiencing any kind of oddity but you will enjoy a lot for sure!!

If you visit this place your first expression should be WOW. Yes Rajshahi University is the most beautiful place in Rajshahi. If you visit Rajshahi you must have to visit this place. It has Paris Road when you enter to the University. You can see a lots of tree and a clean road. WOW. It has very good natural view, all department buildings are looks very good. The necessity of a University in the northern districts of erstwhile East Pakistan was felt immediately after the creation of Pakistan. These areas were comparatively lagging behind in higher education, and the University of Dhaka, the only one of its kind in the country, being situated in the capital, was not very easily accessible to the students of these districts. A feasibility report was prepared and Rajshahi town was found suitable for the purpose of establishing a university. The assent of the then Governor to establishing a University at Rajshahi was first published in the Dhaka Gazette, Extra ordinary dated 16th June 1953 and consequently the university started functioning from the same year.

University of Rajshahi is one of the largest Universities in the country and the largest with the highest seat of learning in the northern region of Bangladesh. After its foundation on July 6, 1953, the university has passed 64 years providing higher education and research. The university is located at the green premises of Motihar which is very close to the mighty river Padma and seven km. east from the Rajshahi City Center.

The necessity of a University in the Northern part of ers while East Pakistan was felt immediately after the creation of Pakistan. These areas were comparatively lagging behind in higher education and the University of Dhaka then only of its kind in the country, being situated in the capital was not very easily accessible to the students of this part. Following a popular demand for a University in this region, the government prepared a feasibility report and Rajshahi was found suitable for establishing the same. Rajshahi University act 1953 (East Bengal Act XV of 1953) was passed by the East Pakistan provincial assembly on March 31, 1953. The assent of the then Governor to establish a University at Rajshahi was first published in the Dhaka Gazette. Extraordinary dated 16th June 1951 and consequently the University started functioning. “Bara Kuthi”, 18th century’s Dutch trading house was made the administration building. Dr. Itrat Hossain Zeberi was the first Vice-Chancellor of the University. Its normal academic activities began in 1954. During the early days of inception classes were held at Rajshahi Government College. In 1961 the University moved to its present campus.
